Do you have a question about the LG LDT567 Series and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

This is a user manual for an LG Dishwasher, model numbers LDF567#** and LDT567#**. The manual provides comprehensive information on product features, safety instructions, installation, operation, smart functions, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Function Description

The LG Dishwasher is designed for efficient and thorough cleaning of dishes, pans, and other utensils. It incorporates several advanced features to enhance performance, energy efficiency, and user convenience. The core cleaning mechanism involves a Multi-Motion lower spray arm that shoots water in various directions and at optimized intensities to reach every area of the tub, ensuring powerful and complete cleaning coverage. The appliance utilizes an Inverter Direct Drive Motor, which contributes to quiet operation, energy efficiency, and durability, backed by a 10-year warranty. For drying, it employs a Hybrid Drying System that does not use a heating element, resulting in superior energy efficiency and gentle care for dishes. The EasyRack Plus system offers adjustable tines and rack height, providing flexibility for loading various shapes and sizes of dishes. The dishwasher also integrates SmartThinQ™ technology, allowing users to set options, self-diagnose problems, and access other useful features via a smartphone app using Wi-Fi.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Electrical Requirement: 120 V, 60 Hz AC only, minimum 15 A circuit breaker.
  • Water Pressure: 20 - 80 psi (140 - 550 kPa).
  • Dimensions (W x D x H): 23 3/4" x 24 5/8" x 33 5/8" (603 mm x 625 mm x 854 mm).
  • Inlet Water Temperature: 120 °F (49 °C) minimum, 149 °F (65 °C) maximum.
  • Net Weight: 72 - 89 lbs. (33 - 40 kg).
  • Wireless LAN Module (LCW-003):
    • Frequency Range: 2412 to 2462 MHz.
    • Output Power (Max): IEEE 802.11 b: 17.56 dBm, IEEE 802.11 g: 25.53 dBm, IEEE 802.11 n: 25.29 dBm.

Usage Features

The dishwasher offers a variety of cycles and options to suit different cleaning needs:

  • Cycles: Auto (senses soil amount for optimized cleaning), Heavy (for heavily soiled dishes), Delicate (for fine china and stemware), Normal (for moderately soiled, everyday loads), Turbo (cleans heavily soiled dishes in an hour), Express (quickly cleans lightly soiled dishes in 33 minutes), Rinse (quick rinse for dishes not immediately washed), Download Cycle (dedicated cycle via Wi-Fi/NFC), and Machine Clean (for cleaning the dishwasher interior).
  • Options: Dual Zone (adjusts spray intensity for upper and lower racks), Half Load (washes intensively on selected rack to save energy/time), Energy Saver (reduces wash/rinse temperatures), High Temp (raises main wash temperature), Extra Dry (adds drying time and raises heated rinse temperature), Night Dry (runs ventilation fan periodically to vent steam), and Delay Start (delays cycle start by 1-12 hours).
  • Control Panel: Features Power button, Digital Display (shows estimated cycle time, delay time, rinse aid icon), Control Lock (prevents setting changes), Cancel (activates drain pump and cancels cycle), and Start button.
  • Loading: The extra tall tub accommodates items up to 14" high. It includes a lower rack (10 or 12 place settings), silverware basket with separators, upper rack (10 or 12 place settings), and a cutlery rack. The lower tines can be folded down for larger dishes, and the upper rack is height-adjustable with three positions.
  • Cleaning Agents: Detergent is added to a main wash compartment with markings for 15 and 25 (for soft/lightly soiled and hard/heavily soiled loads, respectively). A recessed prewash compartment is also available. Liquid rinse aid is recommended for enhanced drying performance and is added to a dispenser with five adjustable levels (L0 to L4).

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and includes cleaning the exterior, interior, filters, and spray arms.

  • Exterior Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth or sponge, then dry with a soft cloth. For stainless steel exteriors, use a stainless steel cleaner. Avoid benzene, thinner, alcohol, bleach, or abrasives.
  • Interior Cleaning: Periodically clean with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. To remove white spots and odor, run an empty cycle with one cup of white vinegar in a dishwasher-safe glass on the upper rack.
  • Seasonal Maintenance and Storage: For extended absence during warmer months, close the water valve, disconnect power, and clean filters, tub, and dispenser. For colder months, winterization by qualified service personnel is recommended to prevent freezing.
  • Clogged Drain Air Gap or In-Sink Disposal: Check and clean if the dishwasher is not draining well.
  • Filter Cleaning: Remove and clean the inner and stainless steel filters with a soft brush under running water. Recommended cleaning frequency varies based on load type and number of loads per week (e.g., every 6 months for pre-rinsed dishes, or every week for dishes not scraped/rinsed).
  • Spray Arm Cleaning: Regularly check and clean the water jet holes on both upper and lower spray arms to remove food residue using a pin or sharp tool. The upper spray arm can be removed by turning a nut counter-clockwise.

The manual also provides detailed troubleshooting for common issues like the dishwasher not operating, operating too long, odor, water remaining in the tub, food soil on dishes, cloudiness on glassware, black/gray marks, yellow/brown film, noise, dishes not drying, lamps not illuminating, crooked upper rack, and continuous chiming. Error codes (IE, OE, bE, AE, FE, HE, tE, LE, nE) are explained with possible causes and solutions.
