Why is my LG Refrigerator not cooling?
    • R
      Richard MaysAug 15, 2025
If your LG Refrigerator isn't cooling or seems to have no power, first, ensure the refrigerator control isn't set to OFF. If it is, turn it ON and refer to the Setting the Controls section for correct temperature settings. Also, check if the refrigerator is in Demo Mode, which disables cooling. Finally, the refrigerator may be in the defrost cycle, so wait 30 minutes to see if the proper temperature restores. If the refrigerator was recently installed, allow up to 24 hours for it to reach the desired temperature. If the unit was recently relocated, allow it to stand upright for 24 hours before connecting it to power.

Why is my LG LF31S6360S Refrigerator icemaker not making enough ice?
    • A
      adamslindseyAug 18, 2025
If your LG refrigerator's icemaker isn't making enough ice, and you are in 3 ICE mode, the Craft Ice icemaker produces 1 batch of round ice about every 24 hours. For more ice, select the 6 ICE mode, which produces 2 batches every 24 hours. Ensure the house water supply is connected, the valve is fully open, and not clogged. Consider replacing the water filter, and if the problem persists, it may be due to low house water supply pressure.

Why is my LG LF31S6360S section so warm?
    • E
      Elizabeth PriceAug 21, 2025
If your LG Refrigerator or Freezer section is too warm, it might be because the refrigerator was recently installed; allow up to 24 hours for each compartment to reach the desired temperature. Also, check for blocked air vents inside the refrigerator. Locate the air vents and move any packages that might be blocking them. Frequent or prolonged door openings can also cause this issue, so try to reduce how often and how long you open the doors.

Why is my LG LF31S6360S cooling system running too much?
    • A
      Alejandro MullenAug 25, 2025
If your LG Refrigerator's cooling system runs too much, it might be because modern refrigerators require more operating time but use less energy. If the refrigerator was recently plugged in or power was restored, it can take up to 24 hours to cool completely. Opening the door frequently or adding a large amount of food, especially hot food, can also cause this. Try to get everything you need at once, keep food organized, and close the door quickly. Also, ensure the doors are closed completely. If the refrigerator is in a hot location, the compressor will run longer; do not operate it above 110 °F (43 °C). Lastly, a clogged condenser or back cover can cause this; clean it with a vacuum cleaner attachment.

Why is food freezing in my LG LF31S6360S Refrigerator?
    • J
      Jacqueline GarciaAug 27, 2025
If food is freezing in your LG Refrigerator compartment, it might be because food with high water content was placed near an air vent; rearrange these items away from the vents. The refrigerator temperature control might be set incorrectly; adjust the control one increment at a time and wait for the temperature to stabilize. The refrigerator might be installed in a cold location; it should not be operated in temperatures below 55 °F (13 °C).

Why are the lights not working in my LG LF31S6360S Refrigerator?
    • V
      vsheltonAug 30, 2025
If the lights in your LG Refrigerator do not work, and it is LED interior lighting, service should be performed by a qualified technician. If it's LED door lighting (on some models), the proximity sensor must detect a person before operating the LED lighting.

What to do if LG Refrigerator doors will not close correctly?
    • N
      Nathan LongSep 2, 2025
If your LG refrigerator doors won't close correctly or pop open, rearrange food containers to clear the door and door shelves. Ensure the ice bin, crisper cover, pans, shelves, door bins, or baskets are correctly positioned. Push bins all the way in and put crisper covers, pans, shelves, and baskets into their correct positions.

Why is there moisture inside my LG LF31S6360S Refrigerator?
    • C
      chasemarkSep 5, 2025
If you notice interior moisture buildup in your LG Refrigerator, it could be due to humid weather. Maintaining a reasonable level of humidity in your home will help control the amount of moisture entering the compartments. It may also occur if the defrost cycle recently completed; wait 30 minutes to confirm that the proper temperature has been restored. Ensure food is packaged correctly by wiping containers dry and storing food in sealed packaging to prevent condensation and frost.

Why does the ice from my LG LF31S6360S Refrigerator taste bad?
    • L
      Leslie WolfeSep 8, 2025
If your LG Refrigerator has ice with a bad taste or odor, it could be due to minerals such as sulfur in the water supply; consider installing a water filter. If the icemaker was recently installed, ice stored for too long can develop a stale taste; throw away old ice and make a new supply. Improperly stored food in either compartment can also cause this; rewrap the food. Additionally, the interior of the refrigerator may need cleaning.

      Jennifer Barajas MDSep 12, 2025
If your LG Refrigerator has water with a bad taste or odor, it could be due to minerals such as sulfur in the water supply; consider installing a water filter to eliminate taste and odor problems. Alternatively, the water filter may be exhausted, and replacing it is recommended.
