It may also not run because the refrigerator is in defrost cycle which is normal. Check that the plug at the wall outlet is tightly pushed into the outlet. If there was a power outage, check house lights and call your local electric company.

  It's normal for the LG Refrigerator to run longer if it is larger than your previous refrigerator, if the room or outside weather is hot, or if large amounts of warm food have been recently stored. Also, it will run longer if the doors are opened too frequently or are slightly open. Make sure the refrigerator is level and that food isn't blocking the door. You may also want to check if the refrigerator control is set too cold, or if the gasket is dirty, worn or poorly fitted. Clean or change the gasket, and set the refrigerator control to a warmer setting until the refrigerator temperature is satisfactory. It takes some hours for the refrigerator to cool down completely if it has recently been disconnected.
