Why is my LG LW1217ERSM1 Air Conditioner not cooling as it should?
    • C
      Christopher JacksonAug 8, 2025
There are several reasons why your LG Air Conditioner might not be cooling properly. Check if airflow is restricted by curtains, blinds, or furniture blocking the unit. Ensure the temperature control is set lower than the current room temperature. A dirty air filter can also cause this issue, so clean it every 2 weeks. It may simply take time for the room to cool down when first turned on. Also, check for open furnace floor registers and cold air returns. Finally, cooling coils may have iced up.

      Victoria GarciaAug 12, 2025
If your LG Air Conditioner isn't starting, first ensure it's properly plugged into the outlet. Check your house's fuse or circuit breaker box, and replace the fuse or reset the breaker if needed. If there was a recent power failure, turn the mode control to off, wait 3 minutes after power is restored, and then restart the unit. Also, check the current interrupter device by pressing the RESET button on the power cord plug. If the reset button won't stay engaged, stop using the air conditioner and contact a qualified technician.
