The LG window air conditioner is designed to cool and dehumidify a room. The unit can be controlled via a control panel on the appliance or a wireless remote control. It also integrates with the LG ThinQ application for smart control and diagnosis via a smartphone.

Usage Features
- Control Panel and Remote Control: Both provide access to power ON/OFF, mode selection (Energy Saver, Cool, Fan, Dry), Sleep Mode, Delay ON/OFF Timer, Fan Speed adjustment (Low, Medium, High), Temperature Control, and Wi-Fi activation.
- Energy Saver Mode: Operates like Cool mode but saves energy by turning off the compressor and fan when the set temperature is achieved. The fan periodically turns on to sense if more cooling is needed.
- Sleep Mode: Minimizes operating noise and automatically turns off the unit after a set time (1 to 12 hours). The set temperature gradually increases for comfortable sleep.
- Delay ON/OFF Timer: Allows scheduling the unit to turn on or off automatically after 1 to 24 hours.
- Fan Mode: Circulates air without compressor operation. Fan speed can be set to High, Medium, or Low.
- Dry Mode: Dehumidifies the room on rainy and damp days. Fan speed is fixed at Low, and the compressor and fan turn off once the set temperature is reached.
- Light Off Function: Adjusts the brightness of the control panel display.
- Auto Clean Function: Removes moisture generated inside the indoor unit in Cooling and Dry modes. When activated, the fan continues to run for 10 minutes after the unit is turned off to clean the interior.
- Auto Restart: If power is interrupted, the air conditioner automatically restarts with previous settings once power is restored.
- Air Direction: Horizontal airflow is adjusted by moving levers on vertical louvers, and vertical airflow is adjusted by touching horizontal louvers.
- Slinger Fan: Equipped with a slinger fan that picks up condensed water from the base pan and expels it through the condenser, enhancing efficiency.
- LG ThinQ Application: Enables smartphone control, monitoring, and Smart Diagnosis™ for troubleshooting.

Maintenance Features
- Air Filter Cleaning: The air filter should be checked and cleaned at least twice a month. A "Clean Filter" LED on the control panel illuminates after 250 hours of operation as a reminder. The filter can be removed from the front grille, washed with lukewarm water (below 40 °C / 104 °F), and gently shaken dry before replacement.
- Air Conditioner Cleaning: The front grille and inlet grille should be wiped with a cloth dampened in a mild detergent solution. The cabinet can be washed with mild soap or detergent and lukewarm water, then polished with liquid appliance wax.
- Condenser Coils: The condenser coils (outside of the unit) should be periodically checked and cleaned if clogged with soot or dirt to ensure peak efficiency.
- Battery Replacement: If the remote control display fades, replace the two AAA 1.5V batteries. Remove batteries if the remote control will not be used for an extended period.
