The LG OLED TV is a television designed for high-quality visual and audio entertainment. It features HDMI and USB connectivity for external devices, allowing users to connect Blu-ray players, HD receivers, DVD players, VCRs, audio systems, USB storage devices, PCs, and gaming consoles. The TV can be operated via a button on the device or through the Magic Remote control, which offers advanced functionalities like voice recognition and NFC tagging for smart device integration. The "Always Ready" feature allows for direct voice recognition and Bluetooth connectivity even when the TV is off.

Usage Features
- Turning On/Off: The TV can be turned on/off using the button on the TV or the Magic Remote. A long press on the TV button turns it off, closing all running apps and stopping recordings.
- Menu Navigation: The TV button allows access and adjustment of menus. The Magic Remote offers comprehensive menu control, including Quick Settings and All Settings.
- Magic Remote Control:
- Pairing: Insert batteries, point the remote at the TV, and press the Wheel (OK) button.
- Deregistering: Press the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for five seconds.
- Voice Recognition: Speak while pressing and holding the voice recognition button (requires network connection).
- NFC Tagging: Bring an NFC-enabled smart device near the N (NFC) on the remote to install the LG ThinQ app and connect to the TV.
- Pointer Function: Shake the Magic Remote to display the pointer on the screen.
- Quick Access: Assign specific apps or Live TV channels to number buttons for quick access.
- Streaming Service Buttons: Direct access to video streaming services.
- External Device Connectivity: Connect devices via HDMI or USB. For HDMI, ensure the correct cable type and adjust [HDMI Deep Colour] settings if needed. For USB, connect devices directly to the TV's USB port if a hub is not detected.
- IR Blaster: Control set-top boxes, Blu-ray/DVD players, soundbars, and game consoles using the IR Blaster connected to the TV's IR Blaster port.
- Antenna/Cable Connection: Connect to a wall antenna socket with an RF cable (75 Ω) or a satellite dish with a satellite RF cable (75 Ω). A signal amplifier may be needed for poor image quality.
- Always Ready Mode: Operate the TV and connect to Bluetooth with voice recognition even when the power is off. This mode can be enabled/disabled in [General] → [Always Ready] settings. The motion sensor can be configured to turn on the screen in this mode.
- Image Retention Minimization:
- Set [Auto Power Save] and lower [OLED Pixel Brightness] in [Picture] settings.
- Set [Adjust Logo Brightness] to [High] in [OLED Panel Care] settings.
- Use [Vertical Zoom] or [4-Way Zoom] to remove black bars from images.
- Turn off device setting menus that display fixed images for long periods.
- The screen brightness automatically reduces for fixed images to minimize retention.
Maintenance Features
- Cleaning: Unplug the power cord and wipe gently with a soft/dry cloth. Do not spray water or liquids directly on the TV. Avoid using chemicals like glass cleaner, air fresheners, insecticides, lubricants, wax, abrasives, thinner, benzene, or alcohol, as these can damage the product.
- Pixel Cleaning: The TV has a built-in pixel cleaning feature that automatically runs when the TV is turned off (if connected to power) to prevent image retention. It can also be run manually via [ → [General] → [OLED Care] → [OLED Panel Care] → [Pixel Cleaning]].
- Power Cord Care: Protect the power cord from physical abuse. Grasp the plug when unplugging, and do not connect too many devices to one AC outlet.
- Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation by not installing the TV in confined spaces, on carpets/cushions, or blocking ventilation openings.
- Battery Care: Store batteries out of reach of children, do not short-circuit, disassemble, overheat, or dispose of in fire.
- Moving the TV: Turn off, unplug, and remove all cables. For larger TVs, use 2 or more people. Avoid pressing or stressing the front panel.
- Screen Protection: Avoid touching the screen, dropping objects on it, or pressing strongly on the panel with sharp objects to prevent damage.
