The LG R-LW1516ER is a window-mounted air conditioner designed to cool and dehumidify a room. It offers multiple operating modes including Energy Saver, Cool, Fan, and Dry, allowing users to select the most appropriate setting for their comfort needs. The unit is equipped with a slinger fan to improve efficiency by picking up and expelling condensed water through the condenser.

This is the default mode when the unit is switched on, except in Fan mode or after a power outage.
- Cool: Ideal for rapid cooling and dehumidification. Temperature and fan speed (High, Medium, Low) are adjustable.
- Fan: Circulates air without compressor operation. Fan speed (High, Medium, Low) is adjustable, but temperature cannot be set.
- Dry: Designed for dehumidification on rainy and damp days, rather than significant cooling. Humidity is removed through compressor operation with the fan speed fixed at Low. Fan speed is not adjustable in Dry mode.
- Clean Filter Indicator: An LED lights up after 250 hours of operation to remind users to clean the air filter. This reset must be done via the control panel.
- Auto Restart: In case of a power outage, the air conditioner will automatically restart with its previous settings once power is restored.

- Condenser Coil Inspection: Condenser coils (outside of the unit) should be periodically checked and cleaned if clogged with soot or dirt to ensure continued peak efficiency.
