What to do if my LG SolarDOM MP-9486SC does not operate at all?
    • J
      Jose WrightAug 15, 2025
If your LG Oven does not operate at all and the display window shows nothing, this may be caused by a defective magnetron thermostat, oven thermostat, or lower voltage transformer, in which case they must be replaced. Also, try replacing the fuse or the power supply cord.

What to do if my LG SolarDOM MP-9486SC seems to be operating but little heat is produced?
    • D
      David MorrisAug 17, 2025
If your LG Oven seems to be working but produces little heat, it may be due to lower than 90% of source voltage with load. If this is the case, contact your local electric power utility company or a qualified electrician. It could also be due to a defective magnetron or P.C.B. assembly, in which case you should replace them.

Why is my LG Oven not heating up properly?
    • M
      Michael MurphyAug 21, 2025
If your LG Oven is not heating properly, it could be caused by a malfunction of the heater, thermostat, or relays 5, 6, and 7. In this case, replacement is needed. Also, check for any open or loose connections and connect them tightly.

Why is my LG Oven lower temperature?
    • C
      Charles HaneyAug 26, 2025
If your LG Oven temperature is lower than expected, it could be due to a malfunction of the heater, thermostat, or relays 5, 6, and 7. If this is the case, replacement is needed.

What to do if my LG SolarDOM MP-9486SC does not cook properly on set power level?
    • S
      Stephen HarrisAug 28, 2025
If your LG Oven does not cook properly when programmed for the set power level but operates properly on HIGH, replace P.C.B assembly.

    Taylor HarperAug 31, 2025
Why is my LG SolarDOM MP-9486SC sparking?
    • V
      vanessa90Aug 31, 2025
Sparks can occur in your LG Oven for several reasons. It might be due to using metallic ware that touches the oven wall; avoid metallic ware unless the cooking guide specifies otherwise. Another reason could be using ceramic ware trimmed with gold or silver powder; do not use cookware with metallic trimming. Also, inconsistent microwave intensity may cause sparks, in which case you can wrap the thinner part of the food with aluminum foil. You may also want to use plastic wrap or a lid, or stir the food while cooking soup, cocoa or milk.

What to do if my LG SolarDOM MP-9486SC Oven display shows all figures but doesn't start cooking?
    • K
      Kelsey Richardson DDSSep 3, 2025
If your LG Oven display shows all figures, but the oven doesn't start when you press START, this could be due to a defective secondary switch (with the door closed). If so, replace the secondary switch. Alternatively, the P.C.B assembly may be defective, requiring replacement, or there may be a loose connection, in which case you should connect the wires tightly.

    Robert CortezSep 7, 2025
Why is the output power of my LG SolarDOM MP-9486SC too low?
    • L
      Laura CampbellSep 7, 2025
If the output power of your LG Oven is too low, it might be due to low AC input voltage. Ensure you are using the oven at adequate line voltage. It is also possible that the food needs to be cooked for a longer time period.

    Debra MaciasSep 10, 2025
What causes no microwave oscillation in my LG SolarDOM MP-9486SC Oven?
    • L
      Lydia GrahamSep 12, 2025
If there is no microwave oscillation in your LG Oven, even though the oven lamp and fan motor run and the display operates properly, this can be caused by a defective P.C.B assembly, a defective high voltage capacitor, or a defective magnetron. If any of these are the cause, they should be replaced.
