Function Description
The LG Washing Machine is designed for domestic household use, offering various washing and drying programs. It features an automatic error-monitoring system for early problem detection and diagnosis. The appliance can be controlled via a program knob and options buttons, and some models support smart functions through the LG SmartThinQ application, enabling remote control, cycle download, tub clean coaching, energy monitoring, and Smart Diagnosis™.

Usage Features
The washing machine offers a range of washing and drying programs tailored to different fabric types and soil levels:
Washing Programs:
- Cotton: For coloured fast garments, normally soiled cotton load (underwear). Provides better performance by combining various drum motions.
- Cotton+: Optimized washing performance for large amounts of laundry with less energy consumption.
- Mix: Enables various fabrics (except special garments like silk/delicate, sports wear, dark clothes, wool, duvet/curtains) to be washed simultaneously. Maximum load: 4.0 kg.
- Easy Care: Suitable for casual shirts that do not need ironing after washing (polyamide, acrylic, polyester).
- Duvet: For large items such as bed covers, pillows, sofa covers, etc. (cotton bedding except special garments with filling). Maximum load: 1 single size.
- Allergy Care: Helps remove allergens such as house mites, pollen, and cat fur (cotton, underwear, pillow covers, bed sheets, baby wear).
- Sports Wear: Suitable for jogging clothes and running wear (Coolmax, gore-tex, fleece and sympatex). Maximum load: 3.0 kg.
- Steam Refresh: Helps remove wrinkles within 20 minutes with steam. Maximum load: 3 items.
- Direct Wear: Provides washing to drying within 80 minutes for light soiled 1-3 shirts.
- Delicate: For delicate clothes such as underwear, blouse, etc. Maximum load: 3.0 kg.
- Quick 30: Provides fast washing time for small loads and lightly soiled clothes. Maximum load: 1.5 kg.

Drying Programs:
- Normal: For cottons, reduces drying time and energy usage.
- Normal Eco: For energy-efficient drying.
- Low Temp.: Dries at low temperature for less clothes damage (easy care textiles, synthetic fabrics). Maximum load: 3.5 kg.
- Iron: Finishes drying in damp condition, ready to iron (cotton or linen fabrics).
- Time Dry: Allows users to set drying time (30, 60, 120 minutes) for various loads (cotton, towel). Maximum load: 0.5 kg (30 min), 1.5 kg (60 min), 3.0 kg (120 min).
Options:
- Pre Wash: Recommended for heavily soiled laundry.
- Steam (Optional): Enhances washing performance with low energy consumption and reduces creases.
- Eco Hybrid (Optional): Uses air condensing dry without water consumption for condensing. Available with Normal or Iron programs.
- Delay End: Sets a time delay for the washing machine to start and finish automatically.
- Rinse+: Adds an extra rinse cycle.
- Dry: Selects drying time.
- Temp.: Selects wash and rinse temperature combinations.
- Spin: Adjusts spin speed.
- Add Item: Allows adding or removing laundry after the program has started (when water level and temperature are low).
- Child Lock: Disables controls to prevent accidental changes or operation.
- Beep On/Off: Toggles the sound alerts.
- Wi-Fi: Connects the appliance to a Wi-Fi network for SmartThinQ functions.
Maintenance Features
- Cleaning Your Washing Machine:
- After each cycle, wipe the door and the inside of the door seal to remove moisture.
- Leave the door open to dry the drum interior.
- Wipe the body with a dry cloth.
- Run the Tub Clean program monthly (or more often) to remove detergent buildup and residue.
- Cleaning the Water Inlet Filter:
- Check and clean regularly, especially if water is hard or contains lime.
- Turn off the water tap, unscrew the supply hose, and clean the filter with a hard bristle brush.
- Cleaning the Drain Pump Filter:
- Collects threads and small objects.
- Open the cover cap, pull out the hose, drain water, unplug the drain plug, open the filter by turning it left, and remove extraneous matter.
- Cleaning the Dispenser Drawer:
- Remove the drawer and inserts monthly to clean detergent and fabric softener buildup with warm water and a soft cloth.
- Caution on Freezing During Winter:
- Install the product where it will not freeze.
- To prevent freezing, remove all water from the pump and drain hose after washing.
- To handle freezing, pour warm water (50-60 °C) into the drum and wait 1-2 hours. For water supply problems, thaw the tap and inlet hose connections with a hot water cloth or immerse the inlet hose in warm water.
