It could also be due to a belt deck malfunction, such as a worn deck laminate, a glazed underside of the belt, or excessive wax build-up. Insufficient power source or incorrect tension of the striding belt can also cause slipping. Check for a spray pattern between 8" (203.2mm) and 16" (406.4mm). Retension the belt as necessary. If none of these are the cause, inspect the belt and deck for excessive wear and replace any defective parts. Ensure the treadmill is plugged into a dedicated 120V, 20 amp circuit.

  Striding belt misalignment on a Life Fitness Treadmill can be due to improper walking/running or the unit not being level. Start the belt at 1.5 mph (2.41kph), grasp the handrails, and manually walk the striding belt back to the center of the deck. If the unit isn't level, turn the right, rear adjusting leg to level the treadmill.

  If your Life Fitness Treadmill won't accept password entries, it may be due to incorrect entries. Only 3 digits are acceptable as a password (entries 1 thru 999) if Lifecenter is not installed. Press CLEAR twice. Press 9000, (MANUAL, 9000 if connected to Lifecenter), ENTER for access to password mode. Enter a new password. A valid password is 3 digits: 1 thru 999 (4 digits if connected to Lifecenter)

  A wax leak in your Life Fitness Treadmill could be caused by a partially open or faulty fill valve, so fully close the fill valve and replace it if faulty. Loose hose connections can also lead to leaks; inspect them and secure as needed. Check for faulty connections at the fitting and bag, replacing hose connectors if necessary. A torn wax bag will also cause a leak, requiring replacement of the wax bag and all tubing. If the pump doesn't shut off, allowing wax to pass through and drip from the nozzle, replace the wax pump. In some cases, a faulty CPU board can also be the cause, requiring its replacement.

Another possibility is that the fill valve in the treadmill is not fully open, or the fill hose is crimped; check the fill hose for kinks and straighten as necessary. Check for blockage. Also, the unit may already be full of wax, so verify whether the unit needs wax.
