The LIGHT SKY PEARL WASH is a professional lighting fixture designed for stage and event applications. It is a moving head wash light that offers a wide range of dynamic effects and precise control, making it suitable for various lighting needs.
Function Description
The PEARL WASH is primarily a wash light, capable of producing broad, even beams of colored light. It features RGBL (Red, Green, Blue, Lime) or optional RGBW (Red, Green, Blue, White) LED light sources, allowing for extensive color mixing and a wide color temperature range (CTO Light output: 2200K - 8000K). The fixture includes a linear electric zoom system, enabling beam angles from 7° to 55°, transitioning from a small degree beam effect to a wide wash.
Key dynamic effects include:
- Color Mixing: RGBL (or RGBW) for a vast palette of colors.
- Color Rainbow Effect: With variable speed for dynamic color transitions.
- Beam and Wash Effects: Adjustable from narrow beams to wide washes.
- FX Mode: Kaleidoscope effects for unique visual patterns.
- Lens Rotation: The front lens can rotate infinitely.
- Multi-point Control: At least 3 LED chips can be controlled independently for intricate effects.
- Ring Control Effect: Allows for segmented control of the LED rings.
- Fade In and Out Gradient Effect: Smooth transitions for at least 3 LED chips.
- Effect Macro: Static and dynamic effect macro functions with adjustable speed.
- Strobe: Pre-programmed random strobe and pulse effects (0.5-25Hz/second).
- Dimmer: 0-100% linear adjustment with high-resolution electronic dimming.
The fixture also boasts precise movement capabilities with Pan/Tilt movement of 540°/270° and resolutions of 2.11°/1.05° respectively. Both Pan and Tilt movements are standard and speed adjustable, with automatic position correction.

Usage Features
Installation:
The PEARL WASH can be installed on the floor using its rubber feet, or suspended from a truss, ceiling, or wall. When suspended, a safety rope must be securely fixed to the projector's support structure and connected to a central fixing point on the base. The supporting structure and hardware must withstand at least 10 times the weight of all supported devices.
Safety Precautions:
- Professional Use Only: Not for household use.
- Fire Protection: Do not install directly on combustible surfaces. Maintain at least 20cm clearance from flammable materials and obstructions around fans/ventilation. Avoid exposing the front glass to direct sunlight or strong light sources to prevent fire hazards.
- Temperature: Do not operate if ambient temperature exceeds 40°C. Allow at least 5 minutes for cooling before handling.
- Electrical Safety: The ground wire of the power supply system must be effectively grounded (EN 60598-1 standard). Use an appropriately sized leakage circuit breaker to protect the power cord.
- Mains Connection: Double insulation is used. Connection to mains supply must be done by a qualified technician. Verify bus frequency and voltage match luminaire specifications. Do not use damaged power cords; replace immediately if damaged. Interconnection limits: max 5 luminaires for 110V, max 10 for 220V.
- Light Source: Replace the light source only by the manufacturer, service agent, or qualified person, and always disconnect power first.
- Explosion Protection: Replace protective screens, lenses, or UV screens if visible damage (cracks, deep marks) is present.
- Optical Radiation: Never look directly into the light source or use optical instruments (magnifiers, telescopes, binoculars) that concentrate light output, as this can cause retinal injury and blindness.
Control Panel:
The device features a control panel with a display and navigation buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right arrowheads, Enter, Exit). The display shows information such as DMX settings, device information (total time, light time, temperature, fan speeds, fixture state), personal settings (MS Mode, Pan/Tilt Invert, LED Hz, Dimmer Curve, Dimmer Speed), and service options (Factory Reset, Reset Timers, Developer).
DMX Connection:
Use 3-pin or 5-pin XLR plugs and sockets. Connect the output of one projector to the input of the next in a daisy chain. Ensure one-to-one pin connection for communication cables. Use 2-cord screened cable with 75Ω resistance and at least 0.5mm diameter per core. Avoid internal wire contact in XLR plugs. A DMX signal terminator (120Ω 1/2W resistor across pins 2 and 3) is recommended for the last projector to prevent electronic noise.
Maintenance Features
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Regular Cleaning: Keep the projector clean for normal operation. Regularly clean the lens to maintain optimum light output. Do not use solvents on the lens.
- Usage Duration: Continuous usage should not exceed 4 hours to prolong lamp life. Alternate operation is recommended. Power ON time should ideally not exceed 48 hours to prevent lamp protection procedures.
- Power Disconnection: Always disconnect power before maintenance. Allow parts to cool for at least 10 minutes before handling.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect lenses and moving parts for damage or looseness. Replace damaged parts immediately. Check mechanical parts for jamming and lubricate with temperature-durable fluid after cleaning.
- Cooling System: The strong cooling system can accumulate dirt. Clean the hot-sak at least once every two weeks.
- Intake Area: After use, check the intake area for debris (wastepaper, etc.) and clean it to prevent windmill breakdown and fire hazards.
Troubleshooting:
The manual provides solutions for common issues:
- LED Off/Faulty: Check voltage, LED lifespan, power supply, and DMX "turn on" order.
- No Control Order: Verify DMX address, function options, cable connection (length, interruption), control system validity, signal amplifier, and proper wire arrangement (separate high/low voltage cables). Use a signal amplify isolator and a 75Ω screening doublet cable. Ensure the end resistance is connected.
- No Movement: Check power supply suitability, physical deformation/damage, loose contacts, and electrical parts (transformer, PCB board, controller) for short-circuits or burns.
- Pan & Tilt Malfunction: Follow general troubleshooting steps. Check X/Y belt integrity and X/Y direction data to the receiver. Perform a projector reset.
Duty Exonerative and Copyright Protection:
- The lamp is a consumable item and not guaranteed for repair.
- Damage resulting from non-compliance with instructions is not covered by warranty.
- Unauthorized copying of the manual is prohibited.
- The company reserves the right to modify manual information without prior notice.
