SSD Installation Instructions

Compatible SSD Specification

Specifies compatible SSD types: M.2 2280, B+M key, SATA interface.

Step 1: Remove SSD Cover

Find and remove the SSD cover by twisting the screw on the laptop's back.

Step 2: Insert SSD

Insert the SSD into its designated slot and secure it with a screw.

Step 3: Power On Laptop

Turn on the laptop after completing the SSD assembly process.

Access Disk Management

Access Disk Management by right-clicking the Windows icon in the taskbar.

Initialize New Disk

Initialize the disk by clicking 'OK' on the prompt after accessing Disk Management.

Create New Simple Volume

Create a new simple volume on the unallocated disk space.

Complete Volume Creation

Complete the new simple volume creation by proceeding through the wizard.

Verify SSD in 'This PC'

Verify the newly installed SSD is accessible in 'This PC'.

Change File Saving Path

Access Windows Settings

Navigate to the Settings app from the Start menu.

Select System Settings

Select the 'System' option within the Windows Settings.

Configure New Content Save Path

Access storage settings and select the option to change default save locations.

Set SSD as Default Save Location

Select the SSD as the default save location for new apps and files.

How to Start Windows from SSD

Ensure SSD Installation Success

Confirm that the SSD installation process was completed correctly.

Prepare USB Drive for OS Migration

Prepare an 8GB or larger USB flash drive for OS migration.

Format USB Drive

Format the prepared USB flash drive before proceeding with OS migration.

Configure USB Drive Format

Format the USB drive with NTFS file system and label it 'WINPE'.

Download OS Package

Download the appropriate OS package version for your region.

Extract OS Files to USB

Extract downloaded OS files to the root of the USB flash drive.

Boot from USB Drive

Insert USB, then press Fn+F7 during boot to access boot options.

Select USB as Boot Device

Select the USB flash drive from the boot device menu and press Enter.

OS Installation in Progress

The operating system is automatically installing onto the SSD.

Reboot After OS Installation

Press any key after OS installation to reboot the laptop.

Select SSD for Booting

Press Fn+F7 during boot and select the SSD's Windows Boot Manager.

Initial System Setup (OOBE)

The first boot takes ~10 minutes, leading to the Out-of-Box Experience wizard.
