INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

REPLACING AN EXISTING LOCK
(No door preparation Necessary)
INSTALL LATCH
ATTACH FACE PLATE
INSTALL STRIKE PLATE
INSTALL LOCKSET
Insert latch into the door edge and tap lightly into place. Turn latch tonge
according to strike handing, before installing face plate.

Secure the latch strike to the jamb using wood strike screws provided.
If there is no strike prep, mark a centerline on the door jamb that aligns with the
centerline of the door latch. Drill one 1”(25mm) hole 5/8”(16mm) deep.
Use the D strike plate to make an outline on the door jamb and chisel 1/8”(3mm)
deep until it sits ush.
Drill two 1/8”(3mm) holes then secure strike with screws provided.
Insert Exterior Side (with two female threaded posts) guiding
the spindle into the latch.
Remove interior cover cap from the tabs provided.
Insert Interior Side guiding the spindle into the latch.
While holding together insert the two screws provided,
from interior side with guide holes provided and secure
the lockset to the door.
Clip on cover cap to conceal screws. Slip rose cover over lever
handle and guide into rose, and press to engage clip to secure.

Install Latch

Insert latch into door edge, turn latch tongue according to strike handing before installing face plate.

Attach Face Plate

Insert latch into door edge, turn latch tongue according to strike handing before installing face plate.

Install Strike Plate

Secure strike plate to jamb using wood screws, mark centerline, drill holes, chisel mortise, and secure strike.

Install Lockset

Insert exterior side, remove interior cap, insert interior side, secure with screws, and attach cover cap.

Door Preparation Template

Template for marking center holes on the door edge for latch and lockset installation.

Mark Door Center Holes

Use template to mark center holes on the door edge for latch and lockset.

Drill Edge Bore

Drill 1" diameter hole in the door edge based on backset depth.

Drill Face Bore

Drill 2 1/8" diameter face bore perpendicular to the door surface.

Position Faceplate

Position faceplate over latch, slide latch into edge bore, check screw mounting points.

Chisel Mortise

Remove latch, drill screw holes, and chisel mortise for the faceplate.

Insert Latch

Slide the latch into the edge bore with the 'UP' side up.

Attach Faceplate

Rotate head to align angled side toward strike, position faceplate, and fasten with screws.

Install Strike

Use strike template to mark jamb, drill holes, chisel mortise, and install strike.
