Repeater Dock Installation
1. Locate a mounting area inside the unit that allows connection of the Tire Linc repeater dock (Fig. 1) to
the unit's 7-way charge line.
NOTE: The Tire Linc repeater dock MUST be mounted vertically.
2. Repeater dock mounting MUST be located in the forward-most storage compartment in the unit that
is free of any metal or obstructions that could interfere with the signal and hinder reception.
3. Vertically orient the repeater dock and secure it to the wall with two OEM-supplied #8 self-tapping pan
head screws (Fig 1A).
4. Make sure the unit's power is off, then connect the repeater dock's red power wire (Fig. 1B) and black
ground wire (Fig. 1C) to the unit as follows:
NOTE: If necessary, use wire strippers to expose enough of the bare wire to make a good connection.
A. Connect the repeater dock black wire to the unit's ground wire.
B. Connect the repeater dock red wire to the unit's 7-way charge supply.
NOTE: The incoming power to the repeater dock must be fused with a 5 amp fuse.
5. Remove the plastic protective strip from the repeater dock (Fig. 1D) and snap the Test Assembly (Fig. 2)
in to place.
A. If the LED (Fig. 2A) lights up, then proper installation and power supply are confirmed.
B. If the LED does not light up, check installation of repeater dock.
