QUICK START
Place the board on level ground, step on the board
and grip it tightly between your feet.
The batteries included in the board are for in-store
demonstration purposes. Before playing, an adult must
install fresh alkaline batteries. Here’s how:
1. Using a Phillips screwdriver (not included) remove
the screw and battery compartment cover from
under the board.
2. Install three (3) fresh 1.5V AA (LR6) alkaline batteries
(not included) in the board making sure the (+)and
(-) ends face the proper direction as indicated inside
the battery compartment.
3. Replace the compartment cover and tighten the
screw.

LANGUAGE SELECTION
BOARD ORIENTATION

This document describes the Little Tikes Pogo-It!™, an interactive electronic pogo-style toy designed for children aged 4-10 years, requiring adult supervision for battery installation and initial setup. The device encourages physical activity through two main game modes: "Hop 'Til You Drop" and "Jump To The Beat."

Function Description:

The Pogo-It!™ is a self-contained unit consisting of a sturdy board with an integrated inflatable ball. It features an internal sensor system that detects movement and jumps, an audio speaker for voice commands and music, and a control button on the top surface. The device operates on three AA alkaline batteries, which need to be installed by an adult. The primary function is to provide an engaging and active play experience, challenging users to maintain balance and follow instructions while jumping.

Usage Features:

Battery Installation:

Adult battery installation is required. Using a Phillips screwdriver, the battery compartment cover on the underside of the board is removed. Three fresh 1.5V AA (LR6) alkaline batteries (not included) are inserted, ensuring correct polarity. The cover is then replaced and secured with the screw. The batteries included for in-store demonstration are not intended for regular play.

Language Selection:

Upon turning the board on, the user can select a language. The board is turned on, and the button on top is held down for 5 seconds. When the desired language (English, French, Spanish, German, or Dutch) is heard, the button is pressed once. If no button is pressed within 3 seconds, the board will cycle to the next available language.

Board Orientation:

The Pogo-It!™ can be used in two orientations: "Top Side (Standard)" and "Bottom Side (Advanced)." For standard play, the board is used with the button facing forward. For advanced play, the board is flipped over so the larger ball faces downward, increasing the challenge.

Quick Start Guide:

1. Leveling: Hold the board level to the ground.
2. Power On: Turn the unit on using the switch and press the button on the top of the board.
3. Game Mode Selection: Tilt the board left or right with your feet to select a game mode.
4. Stepping On: Place the board on level ground, step onto it, and grip it tightly between the feet.
5. Playing: Follow voice commands while jumping to score points and level up.
6. Challenge (Advanced): Flip the board over so the larger ball faces downward for a greater challenge.

Game Modes:

Hop 'Til You Drop:

This mode challenges users to jump or move continuously to keep the music playing and the game going.

• Setup: Hold the board level to the ground and tilt it RIGHT to select "Hop 'Til You Drop."
• Gameplay: Place the unit on level flooring, step onto the board, gripping the ball tightly with your feet. Jump as many times as possible to keep the music playing. The game ends when balance is lost.
• Scoring: Points are awarded based on the number of jumps:
  • Level 1: 1-9 jumps
  • Level 2: 10-19 jumps
  • Level 3: 20-29 jumps
  • Level 4: 30-39 jumps
  • Level 5: 40-49 jumps
  • Level 6: 50-59 jumps
  • Level 7: 60-69 jumps
  • Level 8: 70-79 jumps
  • Level 9: 80-89 jumps
  • Level 10: 90+ jumps

Jump To The Beat:

In this mode, users jump in specific directions as commanded by the voice prompts to keep the game going.

• Setup: Hold the board level to the ground and tilt it LEFT to select "Jump To The Beat."
• Gameplay: Place the unit on level flooring, step onto the board, gripping the ball tightly with your feet. Follow the voice commands (e.g., "Forward," "Back," "Spin-jump left," "Spin-jump right") and jump in the indicated direction. The game ends after 5 wrong moves.
• Scoring: 1 point is earned for every correct move.
  • Level 1: 1-5 points
  • Level 2: 6-10 points
  • Level 3: 11-15 points
  • Level 4: 16-20 points
  • Level 5: 21-25 points
  • Level 6: 26-30 points
  • Level 7: 31-35 points

Difficulty Levels:

• Intermediate: For an increased challenge, the flatter portion of the ball can be inflated to make it more rounded and difficult to balance on.
• Advanced: The board can be flipped over so the larger ball faces downward, further increasing the difficulty.

Phrases:

The device uses various phrases to guide gameplay, provide feedback, and indicate status, such as "You reached level...", "Movin' to the beat!", "Pogo-it any way you want to keep the music playing!", "Battery power low!", "Tilt left to play 'Jump To The Beat!'", "Tilt right to play 'Hop 'Til You Drop!'", "Game over!", and "Language change mode."

Important Information:

• Use only the provided air pump and needle for inflation. Moisten the needle before insertion.
• Do not over-inflate the ball.
• Use the Pogo-It!™ only on a flat, level surface.
• Always wear shoes and keep shoelaces tied and away from the underside of the board.
• The board enters sleep mode after one minute of inactivity; press the button on top to exit sleep mode.
• Always move the switch under the board to the "OFF" (O) position after playing to conserve battery power.

Maintenance Features:

Ball Inflation:

The manual specifies using only the provided air pump and needle for inflation. The needle should be moistened before insertion into the plug. It is crucial not to over-inflate the ball to prevent damage.

Battery Safety Information:

• Use only AA (LR6) alkaline batteries (3 required).
• Rechargeable batteries should only be charged under adult supervision and must be removed from the product before charging.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, or alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), and rechargeable batteries.
• Ensure correct battery insertion and follow manufacturer's instructions.
• Always remove exhausted or dead batteries from the product.
• Dispose of dead batteries properly; do not burn or bury them.
• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Avoid short-circuiting battery terminals.
• Remove batteries before storing the unit for prolonged periods.

Environmental Care:

The wheelie bin symbol indicates that the product and old batteries should not be disposed of with other household waste. Users are encouraged to use designated collection points or recycling facilities for disposal.
