Overview

The Livongo cellular scale, model WM1500, is a body scale designed for household use to measure and display a person's weight. It is intended for individuals 12 years and older and is not suitable for infants or for diagnosing or treating medical conditions. The scale is equipped with a data transmission function, wirelessly uploading all weight data to your Livongo account via cellular connection, making data management more convenient.

Function Description

The primary function of the Livongo scale is to accurately measure and display weight. It is designed to be used with the Livongo app, which displays all your weight data and trends, helping you understand how lifestyle changes affect your weight. The scale measures weight within a range of 110 lb to 440 lb (50 kg to 200 kg).

Usage Features

The Livongo scale is designed for ease of use, with a first-time setup that takes only a few minutes. To begin, users should open the Livongo app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. The scale comes ready to use out of the box, requiring the insertion of four AA batteries (included) into the battery compartment located on the back of the scale. For the most accurate results, the scale should be placed on a hard, flat surface, not on carpet.

When taking a weight measurement, step onto the scale with both feet, ensuring your feet are clean and bare. Wear as little clothing as possible, or no clothes at all, for optimal accuracy. It is important not to bend your knees while weighing yourself. Once your weight appears on the display, step off. A dotted line will flash, indicating that your data is being sent. When the dotted line stops, your data has been successfully sent to the Livongo app. You can then view all your weight data and trends within the Livongo app.

For consistent and reliable results, it is recommended to weigh yourself at the same time each day, ideally in the morning before eating or drinking anything. The scale will automatically power off when you step off it.

The device is designed for use in the home healthcare environment and is suitable for people who can read and understand the user guide. It is important to note that the scale is contraindicated for any female user who may be pregnant, and for any person connected to a wearable or implantable electronic device or instrument such as a pacemaker or defibrillator.

The scale is equipped with a data transmission function that may emit electromagnetic energy. Nearby portable and mobile RF communications equipment can affect the performance of the scale, and the scale can interfere with electrical equipment in its vicinity. Therefore, it is advised not to use the scale near active High Frequency surgical equipment or in RF shielded rooms of medical equipment systems for magnetic resonance imaging where electromagnetic disturbances are high. Avoid using this equipment adjacent to or stacked with other equipment, as this could lead to improper operation. If such use is necessary, ensure both the scale and other equipment are operating normally. Only use accessories, transducers, and cables specified or provided by the manufacturer to prevent increased electromagnetic emissions or decreased electromagnetic immunity. Portable RF communications equipment should not be used closer than 12 inches (30 cm) to any part of the scale.
