Overview

This document serves as an instruction manual for a mist fan, providing comprehensive guidance on its safe operation, assembly, usage, and maintenance. The fan is designed for domestic and internal use, offering a combination of air circulation and misting functionalities to enhance comfort.

Function Description

The mist fan is an electrical appliance that combines the functions of a traditional fan with a misting system. It is designed to provide cooling by circulating air and simultaneously releasing a fine mist of water, which can help to lower the ambient temperature and increase humidity. The fan features multiple speed settings and airflow modes, including Normal, Nature, and Sleep, to cater to different user preferences and environmental conditions. The misting function can be operated independently or in conjunction with the fan. An oscillation feature allows the fan head to swing automatically, distributing air and mist more widely across a room. A timer function enables users to set the operating duration, providing convenience and energy saving. The device is controlled via a panel on the unit itself and a remote control, offering flexibility in operation.

Usage Features

Before initial use, it is crucial to ensure the fan is fully and correctly assembled, including the base, support, and protective grills. The fan should always be placed on a flat, dry, and stable surface, away from windows to prevent exposure to rain, which could lead to electric shocks.

To operate the misting function, the water tank must first be filled. This involves pushing the tank upward to remove it, unscrewing the filler cap, filling it with water (ensuring the water temperature does not exceed 40°C), screwing the cap back on, and returning the tank to its position. Only water should be used in the tank; no chemicals, oils, or other additives are permitted. It is essential to unplug the product from the mains before filling or refilling the water tank.

The fan's operation is managed through a control panel on the unit and a remote control.

  • ON/OFF Button: This button powers the fan on or off. When turned on, an indicator light illuminates. Pressing it again stops all functions and turns off all indicator lights.
  • Speed Button: This allows users to select the fan speed from Low, Medium, or High settings.
  • Mode Button: This button cycles through different airflow modes:
    • Normal mode: Provides a steady airflow at the selected speed (Low/Med/High).
    • Nature mode: Simulates natural wind patterns with varying strong and soft breezes.
    • Sleep mode: Offers a soft breeze suitable for nighttime use. Corresponding LEDs on the control panel indicate the currently selected mode.
  • Timer Button: This function allows setting the operating time from 30 minutes up to 7 hours and 30 minutes. Each press adds 30 minutes to the timer, and indicators on the control panel show the selected duration.
  • Oscillation Button: When the fan is running, pressing this button activates the auto-swing feature, allowing the fan head to move from side to side. It deactivates when the fan is turned off.
  • Mist Button: This button controls the misting function. It can be used independently or in conjunction with the fan. Pressing the ON/OFF button once activates the fan, and then pressing the MIST button can activate only the misting function without fan operation. When the mist function is working normally, the indicator light on the body shell is blue. If the water tank is lacking water, the indicator light turns red.

The remote control is supplied with a battery. Before first use, a transparent sheet must be removed from the battery cover. When the battery is depleted, it should be replaced with the same type (CR20025).

Maintenance Features

Proper cleaning and maintenance are essential for the longevity and safe operation of the mist fan.

  • Before Cleaning: Always ensure the fan is switched off and unplugged from the electrical outlet. Allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning.
  • Cleaning the Fan: Carefully remove the protective grills and blades. Avoid dropping the blades. Use a soft cloth with a small amount of soap to remove stains, then wipe with a dry cloth. Never use corrosive liquids, abrasive cleaning agents, or pointy objects (like scrub brushes or knives), as these can damage the paint, metal, or plastic components.
  • Reassembly: After cleaning, ensure all fan parts are completely dry before reassembling. Do not connect the fan to the power supply until it is fully reassembled.
  • Lubrication: The motor bearings are pre-lubricated at the factory and typically do not require additional lubrication.
  • Water Immersion: Never submerge the appliance, its supply cord, or the plug in water or any other liquid, as this poses a severe risk of electric shock.
  • Storage: When the appliance is not in use, store it along with all its accessories and the instruction manual in a safe and dry place.
  • Airflow Obstruction: To prevent overheating, ensure that the air entry and exit points are not blocked. Periodically clean these areas to remove accumulated dust.
  • Repairs: Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance yourself. Any repairs should be performed by a qualified person to avoid hazards and maintain the product warranty. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons.

The fan is not designed to be used with an external timer or a separate remote control system other than the one provided. It is also important not to cover the appliance, even temporarily, as this can lead to overheating and a risk of fire. The appliance should not be used near showers, bathtubs, or swimming pools.
