Overview

The LIVOO Mini Cordless Hair Straightener is a portable styling tool designed for straightening and styling human hair. It offers the convenience of cordless operation, making it suitable for use in various environments, including staff kitchen areas, offices, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast establishments.

Function Description:

The primary function of this device is to straighten and style human hair using heated plates. It features three adjustable temperature settings (165°C, 185°C, and 205°C) to accommodate different hair types and styling needs. The appliance heats up quickly, with an indicator light flashing during the heating process and remaining steady once the desired temperature is reached. A safety lock mechanism ensures the plates remain closed when not in use or during storage, preventing accidental opening and potential damage. The device is powered by a rechargeable battery, offering cordless operation for enhanced portability. It also incorporates an automatic shutdown feature for safety and energy conservation, turning off after 15 seconds if no temperature is selected or after 20 minutes of continuous use.

Usage Features:

Before initial use, the hair straightener must be fully charged. To operate, the safety lock button needs to be pressed to open the appliance. The device is then switched on by holding the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds, which illuminates the charging indicator light. Users can select one of the three temperature settings by pressing the temperature adjustment button. Thicker hair may require a higher temperature, while chemically-treated hair should be straightened at a lower setting.

For best results, hair should be clean, thoroughly dried, and brushed until loose. Hair should be divided into small strands, no wider than five centimetres. A strand of hair is placed between the straightening plates, and the appliance is closed and moved slowly and uniformly downwards to the tips of the hair. It is crucial to keep the appliance firmly closed during this process and not to hold it at any single point for longer than two seconds to avoid hair damage. For a smooth, tight-fitting look, styling should be done close to the head; lifting the appliance can create more volume. The operation can be repeated as often as needed.

The device also features a temperature lock function, activated by pressing two buttons simultaneously, which can be unlocked by pressing them together again. This prevents accidental temperature changes during use. The charge status indicator provides feedback on the battery level (25%, 75%, and 100%), and if all three displays are flashing, the appliance needs recharging.

Beyond straightening, the device can also be used to create waves. By turning the appliance inward or outward with the hair strand inserted, just before reaching the tips, a gentle curl can be produced.

Maintenance Features:

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of the hair straightener. After each use, the appliance should be switched off via the ON/OFF button and allowed to cool completely on a heat-resistant surface. It is important never to immerse the appliance in water or other liquids for cleaning. The device can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Abrasive sponges, scouring agents, steel wool, metal objects, disinfectants, or hot cleaning agents should not be used, as they can damage the appliance. The smoothing plates should be cleaned with a damp cloth as needed and allowed to dry thoroughly before storage or subsequent use. The appliance should be protected from dust.

When charging, the appliance must be switched off and placed in a stable position. The charging cable is connected to the appliance's charging port and then to a USB charger plugged into an electrical outlet. All cable connections must be correct for proper charging. The indicator light flashes during charging and stops once charging is complete. To prevent damage to the rechargeable battery, it should not be charged for longer than 12 hours. The manufacturer recommends recharging the appliance only when the batteries are completely empty to maintain their full capacity over time. For optimal battery life, it is advised to fully charge the battery at least twice a year. The appliance should never be connected to the mains supply if a rechargeable battery is not inserted. If a different USB charging cable is used, it must meet the technical specifications. Charging via a computer's USB port is possible but may take a very long time, so a dedicated USB charging device is recommended.
