This document is an operating manual, guarantee document, and service log for an LMC (Lord-Münsterland-Caravan) caravan. It provides comprehensive information on the operation, maintenance, and handling of the caravan and its equipment, along with details regarding the leak-tightness guarantee.
The manual emphasizes safe and environmentally responsible use of the caravan. It highlights the importance of reading information on gas equipment, the 12V and 230V electrical systems, and general safety instructions. Warning signs are used throughout the manual to indicate potential health hazards or dangers of accident or injury. The manufacturer reserves the right to vary the form, equipment, and technology due to continuous development, and no claims based on the manual's contents will be admitted for such variations.
Vehicle Data and Guarantee
The document includes sections for customer and dealer addresses, as well as detailed vehicle data such as model, type, key number, chassis number, serial number, date of first registration/transfer, and guarantee expiry date.
LMC Caravan GmbH provides a five-year leak-tightness guarantee for vehicles from model year 2002 (three years for models up to 2001), ensuring no moisture penetration into the interior compartment. This guarantee is conditional on annual service by an authorized LMC workshop within two months of the anniversary of the first registration or transfer date. Improper handling, damage from improper repairs, or natural forces (e.g., flooding) are excluded from the guarantee.
In case of a leak, LMC Caravan GmbH undertakes to rectify affected parts free of charge or replace them. Consequential damage claims are not accepted. Leakage must be reported in writing to LMC Caravan GmbH or an authorized dealer within 15 days, accompanied by the guarantee document with service marks. The cost of each service is DM 200 (including VAT) and is borne by the guarantee holder.
Caravan Mass Calculation
The manual provides a sample calculation of caravan mass, adhering to European Parliament and Council Directive 97/27/EC and EC Directive EN 1645-2. Key terms and specifications include:
