1. Start the engine. And allow the engine to
warm to normal operating temperature.
2. With the engine idling, adjust the throttle
stop screw to obtain the recommended
engine idle speed.
Recommended idle speed: 1800±150 rpm
3-7 Adjustment of speed regulator
1. Loosen the governor arm pinch bolt nut.
but do not remove it.
2. Move the governor arm anti clockwise to
fully open the throttle and hold it in this
position.
3. Rotate the governor arm shaft fully anti
clockwise and hold it there with a pair
of pliers. Tighten the governor arm
pinch bolt nut to 11N·m to secure the
governor arm to the governor arm shaft.
4. Check to be sure the governor arm and
throttle valve move free
3-8 Electric Starter
Frist turn th engine switch to the ON position. Then turn the key to the START position , and hold it there until the
engine starts.
If the engine fails to start within 5 seconds , release the key , and wait at least 10 seconds before operating the
engine starter again.
NOTICE
Using the electric starter for more than 5 seconds at one time will overheat the starter moter and can
damage it.
When the engine starts , release the key , allowing it to return to the ON or RUN position.
Because of the large amount of current, never keep the engine switch turned to the start position when the starter
motor will not turn over, or the current may burn out the starter motor windings.
