1.
Alternator Indicator Light. Should be illuminated only when engine is
idling
.
If
light
does not go
out
when engine speed is increased,
inspect
regu lator fuse,
if l
ight
continues to burn, have al
ternator
and regulator checked by
your
deale
r.
NOTE:
Indicator
light
is inoperative when key switch is in
off
position.
2.
Water Temperature Gauge. Indicates engine operating temperature in
white-
green-red temperature ranges. Operating temperature should remain
within
the
limits of the green se
ctor
. If
pointer
is in white
sector
,
inspect
thermostat
or
shield radiator,
if
necessary. Pointer moving onto red
sector
is a warning of
engine overheating.
3. Tachourmeter. Indicates engine and PTO speeds in revolutions per minute,
and r
ecords
hours of engine operation.
4. Fuel Gauge. I
ndica
tes level of fuel in tank.
5.
Engine Oil Pressure Indicator. Is a red
light
and must go "Out" a few
seconds after engine starts. If
indicator
light
does not
go
off, stop
tractor
imme-
diately and
look
for cause. When engine is hot and running at low idle,
light
may come
"On"
even if everything is
normal;
however,
light
should go
off
when
engine
RPM 's are increased.
6.
Light Indicator.
Illumi
nates when
working
lights are turned on.
7.
Starter Switch.
Is
used to preheat diesel engine and to actuate starting
motor
. There are
four
positions on switch.,
counterclockwise
actuates starter
motor
only,
clock
wise to first notch actuates
thermoinjector
. Refer to starting
procedure
.
8.
Injection Pump Fuel Stop. Limits
flow
of fu el to engine and retards auto-
matic advance mechanism
of
injection
pump. Pulling control
kn
ob
rearward
stops engine. Pushing knob forward against spring tension retards
automatic
advance
of
inject
ion pump which aids in starting.
