NOTE:
This procedure assumes the following tasks have been
performed:
• That required circuit packs to be installed in 900A1,
900A2, or 900A3 DT closure are available
• That a visual inspection has been made for physical
damage to equipment in the 900A1, 900A2, or 900A3
DT closure
• That a visual inspection has been made of the electri-
cal and optical cabling and interconnections at the
900A1, 900A2, or 900A3 DT closure
• That 900A1 network interface unit (NIU) has been
inspected, or the 900A2 or 900A3 pedestal protector
panel has been inspected
• That the fiber drop is terminated with an ST

connector
and connected to the
AYB1B OU
backplane coupler
• That 120 V AC is supplied to the 900A1 DTs
• That 900A1 DT closure power cord conduit is attached
to AC outlet box and that power plug is not plugged in
• That the customer premises DC power source has
been established, and the pedestal DC power inter-
face has been turned up (for 900A2 or 900A3 DTs)
• That facility between COT and DT has not been con-
nected end-to-end
