Install AYB1B Optical Unit in 900A1, 900A2, or 900A3
DT Closure
1. Apply alcohol to tip of cleaning swab and clean optical coupling located on
optical unit backplane.
2. Use compressed air to dry optical coupling.
3. Get one
AYB1B OU
(optical unit) and inspect for physical damage.
4. Remove protective cover from optical connector on
AYB1B OU
.
5. Clean optical connector on
AYB1B OU
using a
Kimwipes*
1
wiper moistened
with alcohol. Dry the optical connector using compressed air.
6. Open the locking latch on the front of the
OU
.
7. Insert the
OU
into the track located on the rear wall of the 900A1, 900A2, or
900A3 DT closure (Figure 1) and slide it toward the left side of the DT closure
until both electrical and optical connectors are mated and the board is locked
in place.
STOP. YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
