C-AutoCut or FPB Mode 2 Conversion
1. FPC-AutoCut requires
AUA6( )C
or
AUA6( )D
version LIUs. FPB Mode 2
requires
AUA6( )D
version LIUs. If the RT is not equipped with C or D version
LIU, you must replace the older version LIUs. When replacing an older ver-
sion, set the new LIU options before removing the older version LIU. Proceed
to Step
3
if converting to Mode 2, otherwise continue with Step
2
.
2. Establish communication with craft personnel at COT. If a multiplexer facility is
used, get appropriate documentation for the type of multiplexer facility used. If
AT&T DDM-1000 multiplexer is used, see AT&T 363-206-100 and use the
set-dsx-code:
command to select AMI line coding at both ends of the system.
3. Are you replacing an older version LIU with an
AUA6( )C/D
LIU?
If
YES,
then continue with Step
4.
If
NO,
then proceed to Step
8.
4. Using orange stick (KS-6320, L1) or equivalent, set equalizer switches
