Install AUB24 Alarm Display Unit (ADU) for Feature
Package B Mode 1 or Mode 2 Conversion
1. Remove, or get one,
AUB24 ADU
and inspect for possible damage.
2. Verify that fuse on
ADU
is not blown. If fuse is blown, get another
ADU
that
contains a good fuse.
3. On
ADU
option switch
S2
(Figure 1) use an orange stick (KS-6320, L1) or
equivalent and set switches as follows:
•

- Away from number for protection switching or toward number for no
protection switching.
•
2
- Away from number, unless FPB Mode 2 (MC97771A1 or MC97776A1
BCU) application is being equipped (toward

).
•

- Toward number to put shelf group AB in-service.
•
4
- Toward number if shelf group CD is being equipped.
•
5
- Toward number to equip shelf group AB.
•
6
- Toward number if shelf group CD is being equipped.
•
7
- Away from number.
•
8
- Away from number if MISC2 is to report a minor alarm. Toward number
if MISC2 is to report a major alarm.
4. Is a replacement ADU being installed or is the RT being converted to FPB
Mode 2?
If
being converted,
then continue with Step
5.
If
being replaced,
then proceed to Step
6.
