Do you have a question about the Lumag MD300R and is the answer not in the manual?
This document is the operator's manual for the LUMAG MD300R Mini Dumper, a motorized wheelbarrow designed for small loading and transportation tasks in landscaping and agriculture.
The mini-dumper is a hand-held, four-wheel drive machine primarily used for moving loads up to 300 kg. It is equipped with a dump body that can be unlocked and tilted manually. The machine's movement is controlled by a gear shift lever, offering both forward and backward motion. Steering is managed by left and right control levers. The engine speed is regulated by a throttle lever. For emptying the container, a rocker arm is used to tilt the tray. The machine is not approved for transporting people.
The mini-dumper is delivered partially assembled, requiring the user to fit the wheels, install the guide bar, and mount the tilting container. Before the first start, engine oil must be filled, as the machine is shipped without it. The engine oil capacity is approximately 0.6 liters, and overfilling should be avoided. Recommended engine oil specifications are 10W-30 or 10W-40. Fueling requires unleaded gasoline ROZ95, with a tank capacity of 3.6 liters.
Starting the engine involves setting the gear shift lever to neutral, opening the fuel valve, activating the choke (for a cold engine), setting the gas lever to its mean position, and turning the motor switch to ON. The starter handle is then pulled gently until resistance is felt, followed by a smooth and quick pull. For a warm engine, the choke may not be necessary.
To stop the engine in an emergency, the clutch lever should be released, and the engine switch turned to OFF. Under normal conditions, the throttle control is brought to the SLOW position, the engine idles for 1-2 minutes, the motor switch is turned OFF, and the fuel valve is turned to OFF. The choke lever should not be used to stop the engine to avoid re-ignition risk or damage.
The machine's steering sensitivity increases proportionally to speed and load. It is recommended to measure the load according to the floor on which the machine is to be used and adapted. It is designed for difficult tracks in low gear. Sharp bends and frequent changes of direction should be avoided, especially on rough terrain. The four-wheel drive requires caution in adverse weather conditions. The clutch lever, when released, stops and automatically brakes the machine. On slopes, one of the wheels must be wedged to secure the machine.
Regular maintenance is crucial for safe, economical, and trouble-free operation. All personnel involved in maintenance must be technically qualified and trained. Before any cleaning, repair, or inspection work, the engine must be switched off, all function levers set to their starting position, and the engine allowed to cool. The spark plug should be removed to prevent accidental starting. Extreme caution must be exercised when working near gasoline to minimize fire or explosion risks; only non-flammable solvents should be used for cleaning parts.
Preventive measures include checking the general condition of the machine for loose screws, misalignment, or damaged parts after each use. All dirt and deposits should be removed from the wheels and machine, followed by lubrication of all moving parts with high-quality, light engine oil. Pressure washers should not be used for cleaning.
The clutch cable needs adjustment as wear increases to ensure proper operation. Similarly, if the machine is difficult to steer, the control lever adjusters must be tightened. The gearbox is factory-filled with 80W-90 gear oil. The oil level in the gearbox should be checked every 50 hours by loosening the control screw on the left side while the machine is horizontal. If no oil comes out, the gear unit should be refilled with 80W-90 gear oil.
Tires should be regularly checked for wear, air pressure (recommended 2.1 bar / 30 psi), and aging.
For engine maintenance, the separate engine manual provides detailed information and a maintenance plan. Used engine oil must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner, at public collection points or according to local regulations, and never into drains, soil, or water bodies.
For storage lasting more than 30 days, the fuel tank should be completely drained, and the engine run until it stops to clear the carburetor. The engine oil should be drained while warm and refilled with the recommended grade. The machine's exterior should be cleaned, and air vents kept unobstructed. Loose or damaged parts should be repaired or replaced. The machine should be stored on level ground in a clean, dry, well-ventilated building, away from ignition sources due to gasoline vapors.
