Make sure that you have placed compatible music files
in the correct location on your NAS and that the UPnP
Media Server is started. Instructions can be found on
the websites of your NAS manufacturer.

Note: LUMIN strongly recommend using MinimServer instead
of the default UPnP server included with your NAS. It
supports all the features of LUMIN and is our preferred
development platform.
Installation instructions are also available for
recommended NAS products from Qnap and Synology:

Get The App

Download and install the LUMIN App for your iOS or Android device.

Prepare Your Music

NAS/Computer Setup

Ensure compatible music files are on your NAS and UPnP Media Server is started.

USB Hard Disk Drive

Supported filesystems are FAT32, NTFS, and EXT2/3; only the first partition is read.

Music Streaming Service

Have login details ready for TIDAL, QOBUZ, Spotify, or TuneIn Radio accounts.

Getting Started

Step 1: Connect Network

Connect LUMIN and the NAS to your network using Ethernet cables.

Step 2: Connect App Device

Make sure your device running the LUMIN App is connected wirelessly to the same network.

Step 3: Connect Amplifier

Connect LUMIN to your Amplifier using your preferred audio connectors.

Step 4: Connect Power Supply

Connect the LUMIN Power Supply to LUMIN and your Power Outlet.

Step 5: Power On Devices

Turn on all devices.

Step 6: Start LUMIN App

Start the LUMIN App and it will automatically detect your UPnP Media Server and Music Player.

Tips

Tag Your Music

Use appropriate tagging software to correctly tag your music library for optimal performance.

The Composer Tab

Enable Composer Tab in App Settings for sorting Classical Music by Composer Name.

Add Album to Playlist

Press and hold an item in the App to add a whole album to the playlist without leaving artwork view.
