Do you have a question about the Lutech DATALYS V Series and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The Datalys V series veterinary monitors are multiparameter devices designed for clinical veterinary monitoring in hospitals or clinics. They measure, record, and display physiological data from a patient, comparing it to preset values and triggering alarms if any parameter falls outside these limits. The monitors are intended for use by trained veterinary personnel and can only be used on one patient at a time. There are no known contraindications.

Function Description:

The Datalys V series monitors continuously monitor various physiological parameters, including:

  • Electrocardiogram (ECG): Measures the continuous electrical activity of the patient's heart, displaying waveforms and numerical data for heart rate (HR), ST segment measurements, and arrhythmia counts per minute. It can display up to 7 ECG waves simultaneously.
  • Respiration Rate (RESP): Measures respiration using thoracic electrical bioimpedance, generating a respiratory wave and calculating the respiration rate (RR) based on impedance changes due to thoracic activity.
  • Blood Oxygen Saturation (SpO2): Measures the percentage of oxyhemoglobin bound by oxygen in the blood, providing a pulse rate (PR) and a plethysmography waveform. SpO2 monitoring is calibrated at the factory.
  • Noninvasive Blood Pressure (NIBP): Uses the oscillometric method to measure systolic, mean, and diastolic blood pressure in small, medium, and large animals. It offers manual, cycle (automatic), and continuous measurement modes.
  • Temperature (TEMP): Provides independent temperature measurements from two channels (T1 and T2) and calculates the difference between them (TD).
  • Invasive Blood Pressure (IBP) (Optional): Reports numerical measurements and waveforms for arterial blood pressure (ART), central venous pressure (CVP), pulmonary arterial pressure (PA), left atrial pressure (LAP), right atrial pressure (RAP), and intracranial pressure (ICP). Two or four channels are available depending on the model.
  • Carbon Dioxide (CO2) (Optional): Monitors CO2 using infrared absorption technology, offering Mainstream and Sidestream options (Respironics or Masimo modules). It measures EtCO2, InCO2, and AWRR.
  • Multigas (AG) (Optional): Offers multigas or Anesthesia Gas capabilities through Masimo Sweden technology (ISA probes). It detects CO2, N2O, Halothane, Isoflurane, Enflurane, Sevoflurane, and Desflurane, with some probes also detecting O2.
