Filling with motor oil

Unscrew and remove the motor oil filling
plug (12).
Carefully top up the motor oil (tank con-
tents: T
echnical data – p. 58). Do not
spill!

Read-off the oil level on the dip stick on
the underside of the motor oil filling plug.
The oil level must lie between [L] and [H].
Re-tighten the motor oil filling plug (11) by
hand.
Adjusting the handlebar height

Attach the collection box
P. 6, item 11
Lift the protective flap (4) and hold.
Hook in the collection box (8).
Make that the collection box is securely
engaged.
Adjusting the cutting height

The cutting height can be set to 7 different
heights (Cutting heights: T
echnical
data – p. 58).
Pull the lever (7) to the side.
Set the cutting height to the value you
require, and let the lever slot back into
place.
Mounting the ejection opening
Note: When using the ejection open-
ing, the mulching wedge must be
mounted; the collection container is
not required.
Cut material is distributed on the
grass.

Press the unlocking button (34).
Lift the flap (35).
Hook on the ejection opening (6).
Mounting the mulch wedge
Note: Mulching is the use of cut grass
as a natural compost. When mulch-
mowing, the grass is cut, finely
chopped and spread across the grass
in one operation.

Push the mulch wedge (36) into the open-
ing of the machine until it engages.
Lower the safety flap (4).
Operation
Check before starting!
DANGER! Risk of injury! The prod-
uct must only be put into operation if
no defects are found. Ensure that any
defective parts are replaced before
the product is used again.
Check the safe condition of the product:
Check whether there are any visible
defects.
Check whether all parts of the product are
firmly attached.
Starting the motor
DANGER! Danger of fire! Spilled
fuel can set the product on fire.
Carefully wipe up any spilled fuel up
before starting.
Start the product a minimum of nine
metres away from where you filled it.
Note: In case of start-up difficulties,
please refer to the following able:

Gently press fuel pump (15) often enough
that no more bubbles are visible (approx.
3×).
Press the switch-on lever (1).
Starting using the electric starter
Put the key into the (37) in ignition switch.
Press the start button (38).
If the motor does not start after three
attempts, you must wait at least one min-
ute before trying again.
NOTICE! Risk of product damage!
Excessive activation of the start but-
ton will cause damage to the battery
and starter.
Once the motor is started, turn the ignition
key back to the starting position immedi-
ately.
NOTICE! Risk of product damage!
Pressing the start button whilst the
motor is running will damage the bat-
tery and starter.
Starting using the pull starter
Slow pull out the pull starter (13) until you
feel a resistance, then quickly and force-
fully, until the initial ignition noise can be
heard.
