6.1 Inspecting and cleaning the instrument optics
Any dust or debris on the optic should be blown from the lenses using
dry clean air.
If there are any permanent marks or scratches on the lenses, the
instrument is no longer suitable for measuring gloss.
6.2 Inspecting and cleaning the calibration tile
The calibration tile must be perfectly clean. Fingerprints and dust can be
removed with the supplied cleaning cloth.
7. Examples of application
All kinds of coating and finishing surfaces, such as
paints, varnishes, printing ink, etc
Decorative materials, such as marble, granite, polishing
brick, ceramic tile and so on
The other kinds of materials and objects, such as
plastic, woodenware, paper, etc
8. Notes
8.1 If the calibration reading is out of tolerance, try to clean the lenses
(see 6.2) and check to see if there are any damages on the tile.
8.2 Avoid exposing directly to strong lights when using.
8.3 Take the battery out of the instrument when not using it for a while
and change batteries when you see “Battery Lo” on the LCD.
8.4 The power will turn off automatically after 5 minutes idle.
