Why does my MACKISSIC SC300M Chippers/Shredders engine smoke?
    • P
      Paul LewisAug 4, 2025
If your MACKISSIC Chippers/Shredders engine is smoking, check the oil level and adjust if needed. Ensure the machine is level, as operating on too great an incline can cause smoking. The air filter might be dirty, so replace it. Also, you might be using the wrong type of oil for the temperature; consult your engine manual for details. Make sure the cooling fins are clean and free of debris.

What to do if my MACKISSIC SC300M engine lacks power?
    • Y
      Yvonne MendozaAug 14, 2025
If your MACKISSIC Chippers/Shredders engine lacks power or isn't running smoothly, ensure the choke lever is fully to the RUN position (left) and the throttle lever is fully to the right (FAST). A dirty air filter can cause this, so replace it. A dirty or cracked spark plug may also be the culprit. If it's oily, remove it, cover the plug hole with a rag, pull the recoil cord to clear oil from the cylinder, then clean and reinsert the plug. Old gas or dirty engine oil may also be the issue, so replace them if necessary. Use a fuel stabilizer if you store gas for more than a month. Finally, check that the cooling fins are clean and free of debris.

How to fix a recoil that is hard to pull on MACKISSIC SC300M?
    • M
      Matthew SmithAug 25, 2025
If the recoil on your MACKISSIC Chippers/Shredders is hard to pull, start by removing any debris from the Shredder/Chipper Hopper Inlet(s) and Discharge Chute. An oil compression lock in the cylinder might be the cause. Remove the spark plug, cover the spark plug hole with a rag, and pull the recoil cord several times to clear any oil from the cylinder. Clean and reinstall the spark plug. Check the engine oil level. The engine may be seized or the recoil itself may be broken or jammed.
