      If your MADER Tiller belts squeal while in forward mode, adjust the tabs on the reverse belt guide. First, turn off the engine and let the muffler cool. Disconnect the spark plug wire. Release the drive safety control levers to the neutral position. Remove the belt guard. Adjust the tabs of the reverse belt guide, bending the metal tabs to 1/64 inch or less clearance from the reverse belt while the drive safety control levers are released. Finally, replace the belt guard and the spark plug wire.

Remove the belt guard. Pull down on the drive safety control levers. Manually bend forward the belt guide and the belt. Replace the belt guard and the spark plug wire.
