The Madimack InverFlow Pro is an elite inverter pool pump designed for efficient and quiet operation in swimming pools, hot tubs, and spas. This manual provides comprehensive instructions for its installation, operation, and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
Function Description
The InverFlow Pro pump is primarily used for circulating water in permanently installed in-ground or above-ground swimming pools, hot tubs, and spas with water temperatures under 50°C. Its inverter technology allows for variable speed operation, which significantly reduces energy consumption and noise levels compared to traditional single-speed pumps. The pump offers multiple operating modes, including Manual-Inverter, Auto-Inverter, Timer, and Skimmer modes, providing flexibility and control over pool filtration and maintenance.
In Manual-Inverter Mode, users can manually set the running capacity between 30% and 120% in 5% increments, allowing for precise control over flow rate, particularly useful for tasks like backwashing. The pump will run at a higher speed to maintain an adequate flow rate, but will not exceed its rated power.
The Auto-Inverter Mode enables the pump to automatically detect system pressure and adjust motor speed to achieve a preset flow rate. This mode includes a self-learning function where the pump redefines its adjustable flow range based on pipeline pressure, optimizing efficiency. If the pipeline pressure changes significantly, the pump will perform a self-priming and self-learning process to recalibrate.
Timer Mode allows users to program daily on/off times and running capacities or flow rates for up to four different periods. This feature automates the filtration schedule, ensuring the pool is maintained efficiently without constant manual intervention. Overlapping timer settings are considered invalid, and the pump will operate based on the previous valid setting.
The Skimmer Mode is designed to skim the water surface, preventing debris accumulation and maintaining a cleaner pool. Users can select from three preset skimmer cycles, durations, and speeds, or customize them in the parameter settings.
The pump also features external control capabilities, allowing it to be integrated with other pool equipment, such as Madimack heat pumps, via digital inputs, RS485 communication, or relay output. This enables synchronized operation and enhanced energy management.

Application Conditions:
- Ambient temperature: Indoor installation, temperature range: -10~42°C
- Water temperature: 5°C~50°C
- Salt pools: Salt concentration up to 0.5%, i.e., 5g/L
- Humidity: ≤ RH, (20 ± 2)
- Altitude: Not exceed 1000m above sea level
- Installation: The pump can be installed max. 2m above water level
- Insulation: Class F, IP55
The pump's suction and return connections are designed for 50mm pressure pipes. It is equipped with an RCD protected circuit and requires proper earthing.
Usage Features
- Control Panel Display: The pump features a user-friendly control panel with a digital display showing power consumption, running capacity/flow rate, WiFi indicator, unit of flow, timer period, and timer indicators. The screen automatically locks after 1 minute of inactivity and dims to save energy.
- Self-Priming: Upon initial startup or restart, the pump automatically performs a self-priming process, counting down from 1500s. This ensures the pump basket is filled with water before operation, preventing dry run damage. Manual self-priming can also be activated.
- Speed Limit: Users can set a speed limit for the running capacity between 60% and 100% to meet the flow requirements of other equipment like sand filters. Certain modes (self-priming, manual self-priming, self-learning, Auto-Inverter, and flow rate setting in timer mode) are not limited by the speed limit to ensure performance.
- Parameter Settings: The pump allows for detailed parameter adjustments, including digital input settings, system time, skimmer mode presets, speed limit, RS485 address, and self-learning automation.
- External Control Options: The pump can be controlled via digital inputs (PIN1-PIN5 for different capacities), RS485 communication (PIN6-PIN7 for Modbus 485 protocol), and an optional relay output for external on-off control.
- High Temperature Warning: The system monitors the pump's temperature and automatically reduces running capacity if it exceeds 81°C, releasing the warning when the temperature drops to 78°C.
- Undervoltage Protection: The device limits the running speed if the input voltage drops below 200V, with further reductions at lower voltages (180V-190V and below 180V).
- Error Codes: The pump displays specific error codes (e.g., E001 for abnormal input voltage, E002 for output overcurrent) to indicate faults. Most errors can be reset by powering down for 1 minute, but persistent errors require professional service.
- WiFi Operation: The InverFlow Pro can be controlled remotely via the Madimack InverFlow app. This involves downloading the app, registering an account (email or third-party), creating a home profile, and pairing the device via WiFi and Bluetooth. The app allows users to switch between Auto-Inverter and Manual-Inverter modes, adjust flow rates or running capacity, view real-time power consumption, and manage timers. Device sharing with family members is also supported.
- Adaptive Flow (Perfect Pairing): For late 2022 Madimack models, the pump can be perfectly paired with a Madimack Pool Heat Pump. This intelligent communication allows the heat pump to activate the optimal speed for the pool pump, ensuring the most efficient solution for pool heating and equipment longevity.
Maintenance Features
- Strainer Basket Cleaning: The strainer basket should be inspected frequently through the transparent lid and emptied when debris accumulates. This involves disconnecting power, unscrewing the lid, lifting out the basket, and rinsing it. It's crucial not to knock the plastic basket on a hard surface to prevent damage.
- Lid O-ring Inspection: Periodically check the lid O-ring for stretching, tears, cracks, or other damage to ensure a proper seal.
- Troubleshooting Guide: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting section to address common issues such as the pump not starting, not priming, low water flow, or noisy operation, offering possible causes and solutions.
- Software Updates: The app is subject to updates without notice, ensuring continuous improvement and new features.
- Warranty: Madimack Pty Ltd offers a 4-year warranty on all parts for defects in materials and manufacture, applicable for domestic installations and the original purchaser. Exclusions include incorrect installation, misuse, unauthorized repairs, and general wear and tear.
- Disposal: The product and its packaging are designed for environmentally friendly disposal. Electrical devices should not be disposed of with domestic waste but through local authorities, ensuring proper recycling and minimizing environmental impact.
