Examinethedryerafterunpacking.Checkfor damagesuchasa misaligneddoor,brokendoorordentinthe
cavity.If anydamageis visible,DONOTinstall,andnotify your dealerimmediately.
Checkto ensurethat youhavethe wall-mountingkit andfour(4)legs.
Install the dryer onaflat, level surface.If you aregoingto wall mount your dryer,usethe includedwall-
mountingkit.
Installthedryerawayfrom directsunlight;directsunlightmayaffecttheacryliccoating,plasticand
electrical components.The roomtemperatureshould not fall below 320F.
Checkthe ventilation. DO NOTblockthe air vents,especiallywhenthe dryer is installedon a carpeted
floor.Ifthe airventsareblockedduringoperation,thedryermayoverheatandeventuallyfail.Forproper
ventilation,allow at least5 inchesof spacebetweenthe dryer top, sides,rear,andadjacentsurfaces.
Installthedryerawayfrom heatingappliancesandwatertaps.Keepthedryerawayfromheat,steam,or
splashingliquids.NEVERsplashwater onto the control panel.Thesethingscanadverselyaffect the wiring
andelectrical conductioncontacts of the dryer.
Checkthepowersupply.

Checkyour local power source.Thedryer requiresacurrent of approximately12Amperes,110Volts,
anda60Hzgroundedoutlet.
Ashortpower-supplycordisprovidedto reducetherisksresultingfrom becomingentangledinor
tripping overa longercord.Ensurethat the dryer doesnot standon its power cord.
Use of an extension cord is not recommended. If an extension cord is used:
Themarkedelectricalratingof thecordsetorextensioncordshouldbeattheveryleastequal
to the electrical rating of the appliance.
Theextensioncordmustbeagroundingtype,3-wirecord.
A longercordshouldbearrangedsothatit will not drapeovertheappliancewhereit canbe
pulled on by childrenor tripped overunintentionally.
Plugthe dryerintoaproperlyinstalledreceptacleboxthatisfullygrounded.DONOTunderany
circumstancesmodify,cutorremovethethird(ground)prongfromthe powercord.Anyquestions
concerningpower and/or groundingshouldbe directedtoward a certified electrician or an
authorized service center.
