What to do if my Magma Grill burner will not light even with a match?
    • K
      Kathryn YuJul 31, 2025
If the burner on your Magma Grill won't light, even with a match, it could be due to no gas flow (check fuel level, replace canister or refill cylinder) or obstructed gas flow (clean burner and valve orifice, remove debris/spider webs).

How to fix a Magma Grill when the burner will not light with igniter?
    • D
      David BrownAug 6, 2025
If your Magma Grill burner won't light with the igniter, the electrode might be covered with grease or residue (clean the electrode). The igniter/electrode could also be too far from the burner (adjust the electrode until a proper spark appears). Another possibility is that the electrode wire is loose, disconnected, or corroded (clean, adjust, and reconnect the wire). The wire could also be shorted (replace the igniter, electrode, and wire). Finally, no spark might be generated (replace the igniter, electrode, and wire).

Why is my Magma Newport A10-918L flaring up?
    • S
      Scott MartinAug 12, 2025
Flare-ups on your Magma Grill can happen due to several reasons. It could be because the cooking temperature is too high (operate only on low when lid is closed, reduce flame level, leave lid open, or use a water spray to cool). Other causes can be grease or residue build-up (clean components), excessive fat in meats (trim fat before grilling), or too much oil in marinades (use non-oil based marinades).

Why does my Magma Grill have a yellow sooty flame?
    • J
      Jeffrey LeeAug 18, 2025
A yellow, sooty flame on your Magma Grill is likely due to obstructed gas flow. Try cleaning the burner and valve orifice and removing any debris or spider webs.

What causes a blow-out on a Magma Newport A10-918L Grill?
    • J
      Joseph ChungAug 25, 2025
A blow-out on your Magma Grill can occur if the flame is too low (increase flame), if wind is directly hitting the burner (block wind when opening the lid), if there's obstructed gas flow (clean burner and valve orifice, remove debris/spider webs), or if the grill isn't level (level the grill).
