4. Wipers
The Front wiping / washing will work if the ignition is in ON position.
If the Auto wipe control switch is ON, then the MBFM will control the front wiper speed
based on the intensity of the rain as sensed by the Rain Light Sensor. The speed as well as
the time between wipes is controlled by the MBFM by manipulating the wiper ON/OFF
relay and wiper High speed relay.
When the Auto wipe switch is ON and if the MBFM detects that the wiper switch/stalk has
been changed manually then the manual request overrides the Auto Mode.
Flick Wipe (Mist) – Pushing the wiper stalk up, operates the wipers. The stalk
returns back to the OFF position.
Low Speed Wiper (LO) – Pushing the stalk down operates the wipers in low speed.
MBFM controls wiper ON relay.
High Speed Wiper (HI) – Pushing the stalk further down below the LO position
operates the wiper in high speed. MBFM controls the both wiper ON/OFF and
wiper High speed relay.
Wash – When the wiper stalk is pulled towards the steering wheel, the front
washer is activated and sprays water on to the windscreen. The wipers will
automatically start wiping the windscreen and continue to wipe 3 times after the
water spray is stopped.
The wiper will again wipe after 5 secs to clear any dribble from the top of the
windscreen
Rear Wiper/Wash operations –
The rear wiper is not controlled by MBFM
Rear Wiper – Turning the rear wiper switch up, operates the rear wiper. This
function is not controlled by MBFM.
Rear Wipe/Wash – Turning the rear wiper switch down and holding in that

tailgate glass and continue to wipe 3 times after the water spray is stopped This
function is not controlled by MBFM.
