Overview

This document provides a comprehensive guide for the Majestic TAB714 Tablet PC, running on Android 9.0 Pie. It covers essential functions, usage instructions, and maintenance tips to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the device.

Function Description

The Majestic TAB714 is a portable tablet PC designed for various tasks, including web browsing, multimedia consumption, and application usage. It features a multi-touch screen and is powered by the Android 9.0 Pie operating system, offering a user-friendly interface and access to a wide range of applications. The tablet includes integrated cameras for capturing photos and videos, built-in stereo speakers for audio output, and an integrated microphone for voice input. It supports wireless internet connectivity (Wi-Fi) and Bluetooth for connecting to other devices. The tablet's internal memory is expandable via a Micro SD card, allowing users to increase storage for their files and applications.

Usage Features

Getting Started: Upon receiving the tablet, users should familiarize themselves with the package contents, which include the tablet itself, a power charger, a USB cable, an instruction manual, and a guarantee. Before initial use, it is crucial to charge the battery fully. The tablet is equipped with a rechargeable Lipo battery, and the charging adapter should be plugged into the micro USB port at the top of the tablet. The battery icon on the screen indicates the current battery condition and charge status. The tablet can be used while charging. It is recommended to charge the tablet for at least half an hour if it has been inactive for a long time and does not turn on. Regular monthly charging is advised to maintain battery health. The optimal temperature for recharging is between 5°C and 35°C; charging outside this range may degrade battery performance.

Powering On/Off and Screen Lock: To turn on the tablet, press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds until the device powers up. To turn off, press the Power button for 2 seconds, then select "TURN OFF" on the screen. The screen lock function blocks the screen and turns off the backlight, conserving battery and preventing accidental input. The screen automatically locks when the system is idle or can be manually locked by pressing the Power key once. To unlock the screen, press the Power button and slide the displayed padlock upwards.

Navigation and Interface: The Home page serves as the main interface, displaying links to frequently used applications. Users can switch between pages by sliding a finger left or right on the screen. The status bar, located at the top, provides system information such as current time, Wi-Fi connectivity, and battery status. Navigation keys are always visible, allowing users to return to the previous page or menu, go to the Home page, or view recent applications. Swiping up from the bottom edge of the screen launches the apps menu.

Settings Menu: The settings menu allows users to customize the tablet's configuration. To access it, touch the Applications menu and select "Settings." Categories within the settings menu include:

  • Network and Internet: For connecting/disconnecting wireless networks and viewing connection status.
  • Connected devices: For managing USB and Bluetooth connections.
  • Apps and notifications: For managing applications and their notifications.
  • Battery: To view battery status and operating time.
  • Screen: For all screen-related settings.
  • Audio: To modify audio profiles and manage "do not disturb" mode.
  • Storage space: For managing internal and Micro SD memory, and checking available capacity.
  • Security and location: For geolocation, screen blocking types, cryptography, passwords, and access credentials.
  • Accounts: For managing accounts associated with the device.
  • Accessibility: For activating Talkback, setting font size, and auto-rotate screen.
  • Google: For accessing Google account settings.
  • System: For language selection, input settings, spell check, date and time, keyboard configuration, data backup, and factory data reset.
  • Information: Provides details about the Android device.

Micro SD Card Usage: The tablet supports Micro SD cards for expandable storage. To install a Micro SD card, first turn off the tablet and unplug any external power sources. Insert the card into the designated slot, gently pushing until it clicks into place. It's important to note that the Micro SD card can only be inserted one way; if it feels stuck, do not force it, but rather turn it over and try again. Once inserted, a "New SD card detected" notification will appear. Users should then press "Configure" and follow the guided procedure to prepare the card for use.

Removing the Memory Card: If the Micro SD card is configured as "portable memory," it can be safely removed. Navigate to "Settings / Storage space," then touch the "eject" symbol next to the Micro SD card. The card will be deactivated, allowing for safe removal. If the card is configured as "internal memory," it cannot be used with other devices. Extracting it will result in the loss of personal data and installed applications. Therefore, it is strongly advised to perform a backup via a computer (by connecting the USB cable) before removing a card configured as internal memory.

Software Keyboard and Touchscreen: The tablet features a software keyboard that automatically appears when a text input field is touched. The touchscreen responds to finger gestures. Users should avoid placing any objects on the screen that could cause damage.

  • Single tap: To select an icon or option.
  • Long press: To display a contextual menu related to an icon or function.
  • Drag: To move an icon to a different page by tapping and holding it.

Computer Connection: To connect the tablet to a computer, turn on the tablet first, then use the supplied USB cable. The system will indicate a USB connection, and users can choose the connection type (e.g., charging, file transfer). The tablet is preconfigured in MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) mode, compatible with Windows systems, allowing the Android device to appear as a resource on the computer.

Internet Connection (Wi-Fi): To connect to the internet via Wi-Fi:

  1. Go to "Settings."
  2. Touch "Network and Internet" and activate Wi-Fi by toggling the switch from OFF to ON.
  3. A list of detected wireless networks will appear; touch the desired connection.
  4. Enter the access password.
  5. Once connected, the network configuration is saved. The Wireless icon will appear on the application bar, indicating a successful connection. The tablet will automatically reconnect to known Wi-Fi networks in the future without requiring the password again.

Web Browsing: After connecting to the internet, launch the Chrome browser, enter the desired website address, and validate.

Camera Usage: To activate the camera, touch the camera icon. Slide a finger from the outside left of the screen inward to switch between Camera and Video modes.

  • To take a photo, touch the photo icon.
  • To start recording a video, touch the video icon; press it again to stop recording.
  • To switch between the rear and front cameras, touch the icon at the top right, then select the switch camera icon.

Maintenance Features

Problem Resolution:

  • Ending an Application: If an application behaves abnormally, it can be terminated to optimize system resources. Tap the square icon to display recent apps, then drag the problematic app upwards to close it. It is recommended to close inactive applications to free up memory and improve system speed.
  • Forced Extinction: In case of a system freeze, the tablet can be forced to shut down. Use a paper clip to press the Reset button, located next to the Power button.
  • Restore Default Settings: To restore the tablet to factory settings and erase all existing data, go to "Settings → System → Advanced → Reconfiguration options → Erase all data (factory data reset)." This action will delete all data, system configuration, and unloaded applications, so use this function with caution.
