Why my Makita Chainsaw engine does not start?
- MMonica WilliamsAug 19, 2025
If your Makita Chainsaw engine does not start or starts with difficulty, there are several potential causes. It could be a malfunction in the fuel supply system, compression system, or a mechanical malfunction. Check the ignition spark, fuel tank, choke position, carburetor, fuel filter, and fuel line. Also, the switch might be on STOP, or there could be a fault or short-circuit in the wiring, or the plug cap or spark plug might be defective; in this case, inspect the wiring and replace any defective components. Finally, the spring in the starter might be broken, or there could be broken parts inside the engine; repair or replace any broken parts.
