UC1 PEX TUBING UNCOILER SET UP
UNPACKING YOUR UC1:
**NOTE** THE CASE HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM ALL VIEWS FOR CLARITY.
SETTING UP YOUR UC1:
1. Unlatch and open the case of the UC1 with the label side up.
2. Remove the components from the case, remove the protective coverings and
inspect components for damage.
3. Verify that you have received all the components with your UC1:
A. Eyelet assembly- 1
B. Eyelet arm- 1
C. Mast- 1
D. Upper arms- 2
E. Lower arms- 4
F. Upright arms- 4
G. Turntable assembly (attached to the case)- 1
H. Hex key- 1
4. If any components are missing or damaged, do not return UC1 to wholesaler.
Contact Malco Customer Service at 1-800-328-3530.
1. Your UC1 is factory adjusted to the proper tension for most applications.
However, it can be adjusted to suit your needs.
2. Disassemble your UC1, leaving at least one of the four lower arms in place.
You MUST remove the eyelet, eyelet arm, and mast to make this adjustment.
3. Insert the included hex key (H) into the screw located in the center of the
turntable, where the mast would normally go.
4. Using an adjustable wrench, hold the nut located underneath the turntable.
5. Turn the adjustment screw clockwise to increase the tension, counterclockwise
to lessen the tension. Using the lower arm to check the drag, adjust the screw
until the desired result is achieved.

IMPORTANT: PEX Tubing has to be placed onto extension
arms (E) prior to inserting upright arms (F).

ADJUSTING THE TENSION OF THE UC1 TURNTABLE:
Use Adjustable
wrench to hold nut.
1. With the case open and components removed, begin by inserting the 4 lower
arms (E) into the receiver on the turntable (G). Make sure to insert arms into the
receivers until they have “clicked” into place.
2. Roll coil of tubing to the side of the machine and place it onto the lower arms
centering it onto the turntable.
3. Insert the mast (C) into the vertical receiver in the center of the turntable (G)
making sure that the mast “clicks” into place.
4. Line up key of upright arms (F) and Insert into the appropriate hole in each of the
lower arms (E) to keep the coil centered on the turntable. Turn each upright arm
1/2 turn to secure key in lower arm.
5. Unfold upper arms (D) so that square openings line up. Slide upper arms
over mast so that they create a crossing pattern as shown.
6. Insert the post end of the eyelet arm (B) into the mast (C).
7. Attach the eyelet assembly (A) to the end of the eyelet arm (B) by inserting
the rod end of eyelet assembly into arm's cross-hole and securing with the
cotter pin.
8. Cut off the bands holding the coil together and feed the end of the tubing into
the loop of the eyelet.
9. Your UC1 is now ready to use.

Setting Up the UC1

Insert Lower Arms

Insert the 4 lower arms into the turntable receivers until they click.

Position Tubing Coil

Place the tubing coil onto the lower arms, centering it on the turntable.

Insert Mast

Insert the mast into the center turntable receiver until it clicks.

Secure Coil with Upright Arms

Align upright arms with lower arms and turn to secure the coil.

Arrange Upper Arms

Unfold upper arms so square openings align and create a crossing pattern.

Attach Eyelet Arm

Insert the eyelet arm into the mast.

Attach Eyelet Assembly

Connect the eyelet assembly to the eyelet arm using the cotter pin.

Feed Tubing

Cut coil bands and feed the tubing end into the eyelet loop.

Adjusting UC1 Turntable Tension

Prepare for Adjustment

Disassemble UC1, leaving one lower arm; remove eyelet, arm, and mast.

Insert Hex Key

Insert hex key into the center turntable screw where the mast usually goes.

Secure Nut

Use an adjustable wrench to hold the nut underneath the turntable.

Adjust Tension

Turn screw clockwise for more tension, counterclockwise for less.
