information about where to dispose of the used UV Lamp. Contact your local hardware
or home improvement stores and other retailers who sell UV and uorescent bulbs.
Many stores allow customers to drop off used bulbs for recycling.
If you cannot recycle, and it is acceptable with your local waste management agency,
you may seal the bulb in a plastic bag and put in trash for collection.

Safety Precautions
• Before installing, performing maintenance or service on the purier, turn off the
main power switch to the unit. Electrical shock can cause injury or death. There
may be more than one disconnect switch.
• The UV Lamp contains a small amount of mercury. If a lamp breaks, clean and
dispose of with care.
• Never expose eyes directly to UV light.
• Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service, maintenance, or use can
cause re, electrical shock, or other conditions which may cause personal injury or
property damage. If you have questions or difculty in installation, please consult
with a licensed electrician or contractor.
• Follow all safety codes, wear safety glasses and work gloves. Real all instructions
before installation and operation of the unit.
• Do not touch the lamp glass without gloves; it may reduce performance of the
lamp. Clean the lamp after handling.
