Dry trials (without water in the bath)
Select ‘Up’ on the hand control and when
the relief valve blows (it will hiss), release the
‘Up’ button. Press rmly down on the Bathing
Cushion to secure the suction cups to the
surface of the bath. Check all four suction cups
are securely stuck to the bath. Wet them to help
them stick if necessary.
Whilst still clothed and with an assistant, carry
out some dry ‘practice runs’ according to these
instructions (see below) until you are condent
to use the product.
Using the Bathing Cushion
WARNING: Please note that the Airo compressor
incorporates an important safety feature which will
ensure that the Bathing Cushion cannot be lowered
unless there is sufcient battery power to raise it
again. To action this feature effectively ALWAYS
INFLATE THE BATHING CUSHION USING THE
HAND CONTROL AND USE THE BATHING
CUSHION to lower yourself into the bath.
to get into the bath
Fill the bath with water at a suitable temperature
(with the Bathing Cushion in the bath) .
With the Bathing Cushion fully inated, sit on
the seat and then swing your legs into the bath
(g. 5). Ensure that you are seated centrally
and right at the back of the seat section.
Select ‘Down’ to lower yourself into the bath.
Hold onto the side of the bath or to a grab
handle to steady yourself as you go down.
Note: you may nd it more comfortable to leave
a small amount of air in the Bathing Cushion,
to cushion yourself on the bottom of the bath
(g. 6).
