BEFORE STARTING UP A NEW LIFT
TRUCK
Introduction.
- Our lift trucks have been designed for
easy handling by the operator and
maximum ease of maintenance for the
mechanic.
- However, before commencing to ope-
rate the lift truck, the user should care-
fully read and understand the various
chapters of this manual which has
been provided to solve driving and
maintenance problems. By following
these instructions the user will be able
to take full advantage of the versatility
of this lift truck.
- The operator must familiarize himself
with the positions and functions of all
the controls and instruments before
operating the lift truck.
Do not attempt to start a new lift truck
before the following checks have been
carried out :
Lubrication.
- Check that all the correct grades of oils
and greases that are required are avai-
lable ; see chapter : SERVICING
SCHEDULE in paragraph : 3 - MAIN-
TENANCE and top up if necessary.
For operation under average climatic
conditions, i.e. : between -15 °C and
+ 35 °C, correct levels of lubricants in all
the circuits are checked in production.
For operation under more severe clima-
tic conditions, before starting up, it is
necessary to drain all the circuits, then
ensure correct levels of lubricants using
lubricants properly suited to the relevant
ambient temperatures. It is the same for
the cooling liquid (Contact your dealer
for information, if necessary).
Dry air filter.
- Ensure that the air filter is undamaged
and not blocked.
- Tighten the fastening devices if
necessary.
Never run the I.C. engine with the air fil-
ter removed or damaged.
Cooling circuit
- Always check the cooling liquid level
before starting up the lift truck.

Introdução.
- Os nossos empilhadores foram projec-
tados para oferecer ao condutor a
máxima simplicidade de manobra e ao
mecânico uma grande facilidade de
manutenção.
- Todavia, antes de pôr o empilhador em
função pela primeira vez, o utilizador
deve ler com atenção e compreender
este manual, o qual foi redigido para
responder a todos os problemas de
condução e de manutenção. Seguindo
estas instruções, o utilizador poderá
tirar o melhor proveito das performan-
ces oferecidas pelo seu empilhador
telescópico.
- Antes de empregar o empilhador, o uti-
lizador deverá conhecer todas as
funções e posições dos vários instru-
mentos de controlo e de comando.
Nunca ligue um empilhador novo antes
de ter feito as seguintes verificações:
Lubrificação.
- Controle os vários pontos de lubrifi-
cação e os vários níveis, ver o capítu-
lo: FREQUÊNCIA DE MANUTENÇÃO,
na parte: 3 - MANUTENÇÃO, atestan-
do os níveis se for necessário.
O abastecimento com os lubrificantes é
feito na fábrica para os sistemas que
funcionam a temperaturas normais, ou
seja, de -15 °C a + 35 °C. Para utilizar o
veículo em condições extremas, antes
do arranque é preciso esvaziar e reaba-
stecer os sistemas, utilizando lubrifican-
tes adequados para os valores de tem-
peratura do ambiente. As mesmas
considerações valem para o líquido de
arrefecimento (para mais informações,
dirija-se ao agente ou ao concessionário
da sua zona).
Filtro de ar a seco.
- Verifique se o filtro de ar está em bom
estado e não obstruído.
- Aperte os sistemas de bloqueio se for
necessário.
Nunca utilize o empilhador sem o filtro
de ar ou com um filtro de ar danificado.
Circuito de arrefecimento.
- Nunca ligue o empilhador antes de ter
controlado o nível do líquido de arrefe-
cimento.

Introduzione.
- I nostri carrelli elevatori sono stati pro-
gettati per offrire al conduttore la mas-
sima semplicità di manovra e una
grande facilità di manutenzione.
- Tuttavia, prima del primo avviamento
del carrello elevatore, l'utilizzatore
dovrà leggere con attenzione e com-
prendere il presente manuale, redatto
per rispondere a tutti i problemi di
guida e di manutenzione. Seguendo le
istruzioni, l'utilizzatore sarà in grado di
sfruttare al meglio le prestazioni offerte
dal carrello elevatore.
- L'utilizzatore dovrà, prima di utilizzare il
carrello elevatore, conoscere le funzio-
ni e posizioni dei diversi strumenti di
controllo e di comando.
Non avviare mai un nuovo carrello ele-
vatore, prima di aver effettuato i
seguenti controlli :
Ingrassaggio.
- Controllare i vari punti d'ingrassaggio e
i vari livelli, vedi capitolo :
PERIODICITÀ DELLA MANUTENZIO-
NE nella parte : 3 - MANUTENZIONE
e procedere alle eventuali aggiunte.
Il pieno di lubrificanti è già stato effettua-
to in fabbrica, utilizzando lubrificanti per
condizioni climatiche d'uso medie, ossia
da -15°C a + 35°C. Per un utilizzo in
condizioni estreme occorre, prima del-
l'avviamento, svuotare e rifare i pieni,
utilizzando i lubrificanti adatti a tali tem-
perature. Lo stesso vale per il liquido di
raffreddamento (Per maggiori informa-
zioni, rivolgetevi al vostro agente o con-
cessionario).
Filtro a secco dell'aria.
- Accertarsi che il filtro dell'aria sia in
buono stato e non sia intasato.
- Stringere i bloccaggi se occorre.
Non utilizzare mai il carrello elevatore
senza il filtro dell'aria o con un filtro del-
l'aria danneggiato.
Circuito di raffreddamento.
- Non mettere mai in moto il carrello
elevatore senza avere preventivamente
controllato il livello del liquido di
raffreddamento.
