How to prevent creosote build-up in my Masport RANGITATA ULEB?
    • X
      xrodriguezAug 4, 2025
Creosote build-up in your Masport Burner happens when tar-like substances from smoke condense on cooler surfaces, potentially restricting airflow and impairing performance. The most effective way to control creosote formation is to regularly burn the woodstove on high and avoid allowing the fire to smolder.

What to do if Masport Burner is over firing or glowing red hot?
    • K
      Kristina UnderwoodAug 12, 2025
If your Masport Burner is over firing, or any part of the fire is glowing red hot, first try turning down the heat output control on the fire. If that doesn't work, try opening a window to balance the pressure in the house. This issue can occur if modern heat pumps or ventilation systems positively pressurize the house. If the problem continues, it's best to contact your Masport dealer or installer for further diagnosis.

Why does my Masport Burner have a dark, dirty film on the door glass?
    • M
      Michelle BarrettAug 20, 2025
A dark, dirty film on the door glass of your Masport Burner is usually caused by burning wet or green firewood, or leaking door seals. Make sure you're only using dry, seasoned wood, as burning wood with more than 25% moisture is not recommended. Also, check the door and glass seals. You can try to remove the film by burning with the damper open for 30 minutes, cleaning the glass with damp newspaper and ash when the fire is completely cool, or using non-caustic oven cleaner. Be careful not to scratch the glass by using steel products or abrasive materials.

What to do if Masport RANGITATA ULEB has poor performance – not enough heat or drop in output?
    • T
      Timothy FoxAug 27, 2025
Several factors can cause poor performance in your Masport Burner, such as not enough heat or a drop in output. This can be due to using green or wet wood, or if the baffle is not positioned correctly. To fix this, use seasoned wood. Also, ensure the front and rear baffles are installed correctly and pushed fully towards the rear of the firebox.
