Know Your Coee Maker
Using Your Coee Maker
Notes on the cord plug
This appliance has a polarized plug. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is
intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do
not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
Notes on the cord
a) A short power-supply cord (or detached power-supply cord) is provided to reduce
risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a long cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may
be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension
cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
2) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter
top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
3) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a
grounding-type 3-wire cord.

HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
BEFORE FIRST USE
Check that all accessories are complete and the appliance is not damaged. Add water into the water
tank to the MAX level and brew water for several times without ground coee, then discard the
water. Clean all detachable parts thoroughly with water.
NOTE: The max capacity of coee maker is 1.8 L.
1. Open the top cover and fill the water tank with fresh water. The water level should not exceed MAX
level as indicated on the water level gauge.
2. Place the funnel into the funnel support, ensuring it is positioned correctly, otherwise the top cover
will not close. Place a paper filter into the funnel. Add ground coee to the paper filter. Usually
one cup of coe requires one level spoon of ground coee, but adjust according to desired brew
strength. Close the top cover completely.
3. Insert the carafe on the warming plate.
4. Plug the power cord into the outlet.
5. Press ON/OFF switch to the “I” position, the indicator will be illuminated. The appliance will start
brewing.
6. The brewing process can be interrupted by pressing ON/OFF switch to the “O” position at any
time. The appliance will continue brewing once the ON/OFF switch is pressed to the “I” position.
Note: The carafe can be removed to pour and serve at any time. The appliance will stop brewing
automatically. The carafe should be put back on the warming plate within 30 seconds.
7. Remove carafe to serve when brewing is finished.
Note: The coee you get will be less than the water you have added, as some water is absorbed by
the ground coee. DO NOT touch cover or warming plate as they are very hot after brewing.
8. When the brewing process is finished, if you do not want to serve immediately, keep the coee
maker on and the coee will be kept warm on the warming plate until you unplug the appliance.
9. Always turn the coee maker o and disconnect the power supply when not in use.
Note: Use caution when pouring the coee. Coee will be hot and may cause injury.
