dmar demonstrates that the engine has been abused, neglected, or improperly maintained and
thatsuchabuse,neglectorimpropermaintenancewasthedirectcauseoftheneedforrepairor
replacement of the part.
The emission warranty covers damage to other engine components that is caused by the failure of a warranted part.
The Indmar Operator’s Manual provided contains written instructions for the proper maintenance and use of
your inboard engine. All emission warranty parts are warranted by Indmar for the entire warranty period of the engine,
unless the part is scheduled for replacement as required maintenance in the Operator’s Manual.
Emission warranty parts that are scheduled for replacement as required maintenance are warranted by Ind-
marfortheperiodoftimebeforetherstscheduledreplacementdateforthatpart.Emissionwarrantedpartsthatare
scheduled for regular inspection, but not regular replacement, are warranted by Indmar for the entire warranty period
of the inboard engine.
Any emission warranty part repaired or replaced under the terms of this warranty statement is warranted by
Indmar for the remainder of the warranty period of the original part. All parts replaced under this limited warranty
become the property of Indmar.
If the ownership of a product is transferred during Emission Components Warranty period, this warranty shall also
betransferredandbevalidfortheremainingcoverageperiodprovidedthatIndmarisnotiedinthefollowingway:
a. The former owner contacts Indmar and provides us with the required information listed below; or
b. Indmar receives proof that the former owner agreed to the transfer of ownership and we are provided with the
information listed below.
–Currentowner’sname,address,telephonenumber,engineserialnumberanddateofpurchase.
–Newowner’sname,address,telephonenumber,engineserialnumberanddateoftransfer.

One Star-Low emission
The one-star label identies engines that meet the
Air Resources Board’s Personal Watercraft and
Outboard Marine Engine 2201 exhaust emission
standards. Engines meeting these standards have
75% lower emissions than conventional carburet-
ed two-stroke engines. These engines are equivalent to the U.S. EPA’s
2006 standards for marine engines.
Two Stars-Very Low emission
The two-star label identies engines that meet
the Air Resources Board’s Person Watercraft and
Outboard marine engine 2004 exhaust emission
standards. Engines meeting these standards
have 20% lower emission than One-Star Low Emission engines.
Three Stars-Ultra Low emission
The three star label identies engines that meet
the Air Resources Board’s Personal Watercraft
and Outboard Marine Engine 2008 exhaust emis-
sion standards or the Sterndrive and Inboard
Marine Engine 2003-2008 exhaust emission stan-
dards. Engines meeting these standards have 65% lower emissions
than One Star-Low Emission engines.
Four Stars-Super Ultra Low emission
The four star label identies engines that meet
the Air Resources Board’s Sterndrive and Inboard
marine engine 2009 exhaust emission standards.
Personal Watercraft and Outboard Marine En-
gines may also comply with these standards. En-
gines meeting these standards have 90% lower emissions than One
Star-Low Emission engines.
