8. When the drive shaft is fully engaged into
the right angle attachment, lock the right
angle attachment to the adaptor by turning
the adaptor collar clockwise.
NOTE: Only tighten by hand. DO NOT use
pliers or wrench.
9. To change collet and accessories in the
right angle attachment, follow the basic
procedures as outlined for the rotary tool
(g. 3). To lock the spindle, rotate the collet
nut (16) until you can insert the L-key (17)
into the hole in the shaft (18) (g. 6).
Installing the right angle
cutting guide
The right angle cutting guide is used to hold the
tool at a consistent right angle to the workpiece
while cutting or grinding. It allows the rotary tool to
be used in a similar manner to a router.
1. Remove the nose nut (1) from the tool by
turning it counter-clockwise (g. 7).
2. Install the appropriate bit in the tool (2)
(g. 3).
3. Install the cutting guide (3) on the tool by
turning the base (4) clockwise onto the
threaded portion of the tool spindle (5).
NOTE: DO NOT over-tighten.
4. To set the cutting depth, loosen height
adjusting screw (6), slide the tool up or down
in the base to the appropriate cutting depth
and retighten the screw.
