The UCB is designed with a replaceable SOM (System on Module) Board. In some situations, replacing
this SOM Board my resolve console software issues or failures. This task is not currently supported – it
isn’t clear what issues or failures may be resolved by SOM replacement.
A service part replacement UCB may include the VA microSD and Wi-Fi Board already installed. The
existing parts can be left on the replaced UCB. The RFID Board must be transferred from the existing
UCB.
These pictures and diagrams describe what connects to each socket on the UCB. The table relates the
index used in the pictures & diagrams to the UCB designator and socket name, as well as a ‘common’
name.
