Troubleshooting Guide
Importing settings from a USB drive
Once initial settings & updates are complete, additional settings can be imported via USB from a Source
Console.
To import settings from a USB drive:
Once the “Source Console” has been fully configured for a site and its settings exported to a USB drive,
those settings can be used to easily set up additional consoles identically.
1. Complete all steps in First Time Set Up (FTSU) until reaching the statement that the console is
prepared to receive settings via USB.
2. Acquire a USB drive with all appropriate settings exported from the Source Console.
3. Touch and hold on the Matrix logo, top center of the display to access the Product Dashboard.
4. Touch the “Machine Selection” button.
5. Type “3 0 0 1 enter” on the keypad that appears.
6. Touch on the “Management” tab.
7. Touch on “Import Settings From USB”.
8. Console will load settings, indicated by spinning icon; once complete, console will return to the
Login Screen.
9. Test that any critical settings are properly applied, if appropriate.
All settings from the Source Console have been applied.
Exporting Console Settings via Site Survey
Touch & TouchXL consoles can automatically broadcast settings to all other compatible consoles
connected to the same network.
All consoles must be connected to the same network to be set up in this way.
To export settings via Site Survey:
1. Complete all steps in First Time Set Up (FTSU) until reaching the statement that the console is
prepared to receive settings via Site Survey on EVERY CONSOLE to be set up.
2. Set up the Source Console with every setting and configuration change desired on all connected
consoles.
3. Touch and hold on the Matrix logo, top center of the display to access the Product Dashboard.
4. Touch the “Machine Selection” button.
5. Type “3 0 0 1 enter” on the keypad that appears.
6. Touch on the “Management” tab.
7. Touch on “Site Survey” – The console will scan the network for compatible Touch & TouchXL
consoles and display them in a table.
8. Select each Serial Number-Console the Source Console settings are to be applied to.
9. Touch on “Export Settings” to export settings to each selected console.
10. Test that any critical settings are properly applied, if appropriate.
A warning window will appear on consoles receiving settings that it’ll be available shortly. Consoles in
use will wait until after the user has ended their workout before receiving settings.
