Hardware Product Change
NOTE: In late 2022, Matrix began using new hardware we call version 2.0 which is a different vendor as
version 1.0. Then in early 2023, Matrix began manufacturing Touch and Touch XL consoles with the 2.0
version hardware which changed the serial number prefix*.
UCB Vendor
1.0 = Nexcom
2.0 = Wistron
How to tell the difference?
Consoles beginning with serial number CTM756 and CTM757 were made with version 1.0 UCB however
if the UCB was replaced it could have a 2.0 version hardware.
*Consoles beginning with serial number CTM551 and CTM550 will always have the version 2.0 Wistron
UCB and hardware locations.
Why is it important to know what UCB is in the console?
If the UCB or TFT module need to be replaced and the vendor UCB in the console is not available, the
other vendor UCB can be used however the TFT module would need to be replaced as well.
The below scenarios assume the console has a Nexcom Control Board Module (1.0).
Scenario 1

UCB replacement is available
