    Why is my Maytag Washer vibrating or off-balance?

      Your Maytag washer might be vibrating or off-balance because the feet aren't making solid contact with the floor and are not locked. Both front and rear feet need to firmly touch the floor, and the washer should be level for it to work right. Also, the washer might not be level. Inspect the floor for any flexing or sagging. If the floor is uneven, putting a 3/4" (19 mm) piece of plywood under the washer can help reduce noise.
